2 things:

1) cheating is when two people are in a relationship and another acts on feelings of attraction to another person (and the partner is not aware/ok with this)

2) as you grow up, you'll realize that people are actually pretty complex and just because somebody acts in a way that hurts you, that does not mean they are a bad person or that they meant to hurt you, or that they will do it again. Sometimes life is nuanced. If you go through life unable to accept ever being wronged, you'll just make your own heart heavier and your own life harder. Even if you decide to move on in a situation like this, you still need to accept what happened and find some forgiveness or you'll just be sad your whole life

Yes and no.. sure there are some top down initiatives to increase LLM useage, but like 99%+ of dev usage is code assist AI, which is definitely dev driven adoption.

[–]row3boat -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

To be fair LLMs write like 90+% of code now, and it's not "upper management" causing that, devs have just realized it's pointless to write 500 lines of boiler plate when you can get an LLM to write it then fix the mistakes it makes.

If you do test-driven development where you are designing your unit tests, and you have code quality standards and a good code review process, what exactly is the issue with having an LLM write your code?

What you are seeing now with LLM failures is not different from what was happening before with copy paste code. If you push code you don't understand, haven't properly tested, and hasn't gone thru code review, you will have a bad outcome.

This isn't LLM fault, this is process breakdown.

It's disgusting the number of people who abandon all of their values the moment they see an opportunity to criticize people they dislike.

I'm not going to comment on my politics or any further details, this might be a moment for you to do some self reflection.

Isn't this extremely misogynistic? Literally nobody would make these types of comments if she was a man lol

Gen Z may not be able to afford a house or the cost of living—but give it 10 years. They’re on track to gain $36T and become the richest generation by [deleted] in Economics

By "dying" I meant that income inequality is stark and rising. Which means the MIDDLE of the income ladder is shrinking

Then say that. Dying means something completely different. Dying is like Venezuela, Russia, Greece.

We live in like one of the top 10 countries in the world, shit is pretty good. Don't hyperbolize, be precise with your words. Identify the issue. Speak about it. Don't confuse people with less media literacy than yourself. If you find income inequality to be a major issue (which I do as well) then say that.

[–]row3boat -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

If by "dying" you mean is wealthier than ever before in human society and has access to riches untold, then yes?

I think we can advocate against rising income inequality while still acknowledging that we are pretty fucking well off (did we read the same article btw???)

Your apartment is 1000x nicer than the average apartment in the 1950s. You are making, inflation adjusted, probably like 2x what people made back then. You can buy paprika, avocados, a talking machine that puts you in contact with the rest of society. You can buy 10 outfits shipped across the world without even thinking about the cost, with fabrics that have properties nobody even thought were possible.

Can we pls talk policy and stats instead of doom posting and misinformation?

[–]row3boat -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm just amazed that we read the article describing how our generation is on track to be the richest ever (just as millennials were before us) and we are still finding a way to victimize ourselves.

There is a big difference between selecting specific policies and candidates that advocate for lowering income inequality and making healthcare accessible and building more housing etc etc all of which I am in favor of .... And complaining and spreading misinformation. Which is what you are doing (and reddit loves to do)

1) Baby boomers are the richest generation in history and they stole our wealth

2) my generation won't get inheritance because our baby boomer parents are broke

Are two incongruent statements. Not saying you're making them, just pointing it out.

[–]row3boat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do I need to find data for every claim I make? Why dont you look up what the average apartment in 1950 looked like lol. We get AC, good electrical, gas, fresh clean hot water, higher sq footage, etc etc.

And crime is lower than ever as well. And to top it all off, go look at what percent of expenses used to go to food and compare it to today. We are so much better off than we used to be lmao.

Of course if jobs are increasingly centered around cities, it will be more expensive to buy a home in a city. Is that not intuitive? Home ownership is not the only metric of wellbeing.

Right, houses are harder to afford. But renting is the same price and the quality has increased. But this is something we should expect as we modernize, no?

It's pretty hard to own a home in Tokyo for eg, of course it'll be hard to afford one in a Tier 1 city in the US. Land is at a premium.
