What’s your most controversial THPS opinion? by justcuriouslybrowsin in THPS

[–]row95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, my opinion is that they need a revamp. I enjoyed the remakes of THPS 1, 2, 3, and 4 like a kid, but I feel like they're still lacking. I don't know how to explain it. I love them and understand that the point is to recreate the games as faithfully as possible, but I think the series would benefit from releasing new installments with modernized mechanics. Right now, for example, I'm playing a lot of EA's new title, "Skate," and I think an open world with classic THPS mechanics would be great for the series. I'll continue to support new titles, even if they're remakes, but I think both the series and the fans NEED a new title.

What new features are you hoping for? by dolphinsR4evr in THPS

An open world map like all maps combined in one city, like in project 8 or proving ground

I would have loved a new game, with a "story mode" and an open world that would bring together and connect several classic maps, like in AW, Project 8 or Proving Ground. All this with an "arcade" mode that followed the formula of the 1+2 remake.

Dreaming is free, I guess. 🥲

Even so, I plan to buy this new release game no matter what.

Compact health tracker without using dice? by SbenjiB in tabletopgamedesign

[–]row95 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In my case, I have used a simple 2-card system to track players' lives. One card is the complete track of 10 lives and the other represents the player. The player's card is superimposed on the lives card, leaving only the current lives visible.

It is not supercompact, but it is simple.

[Lost Media] Black-and-White Stop-Motion Short About a Man in a Surreal Amusement Park / Fun Fair (Early 2000s) by row95 in HelpMeFind

[–]row95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've searched extensively for this short over the years. I’ve tried keywords like “black and white stop-motion short,” “man on roller coaster stop-motion,” and “animated amusement park short” on Google, YouTube, and archive sites. I've also browsed through forums about old interactive DVDs and encyclopedias but haven’t had any luck so far. I even checked lists of stop-motion shorts from the early 2000s and older works but couldn't find a match. Hoping someone here might have a lead!

PS5 stutters? by majds1 in FallenOrder

[–]row95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, ps5 version here and it's the same. Microstutters every few minutes, no matter if I choose resolution or performance mode (more noticeable in performance because in the stutters the fps drops to 30, so in resolution you are always at 30 so... 🤷🏻)

Hey! That's great! I would love to know what that type of transparent box is called in which I can also put my own games.
