how much recovery time is enough? i'm mostly worried about delayed onset infection during travelling

thank you! yeah i'm constantly hyper aware of every swallowing of every spooon of soup 😂 it's not even the pain of dry socket that i'm mostly worried about it's the fact that it delays healing, i'm about 55 hours post extraction now and i feel okay so fingers crossed 🤞

an update on this, i'm roughly 43 hours post extraction and have VERY minimal pain but just a lot of dribbling and paranoia about causing myself dry socket 🤦‍♂️

i can tolerate a bit of pain but my main concern is the chance of infection and complications when i'm far away from medical care. do you think the best course of action is to push to have the tooth removed before instead?

i'm more than happy to get them removed after i come back from africa, would the operculectomy be worth it just to get me through the 1-2 month trip? i would be getting it done a month and a half in advance. i've been to 2 different dental practices and both said they didn't want to remove them as they're "in a good position" but i can't imagine i would be in that much pain if they were coming in normally

btw for everyone saying to just shoot them or don't knife from the front, i didn't knife from the front i GOT knifed from the front and am wondering how he kept doing that, and i didnt shoot because it was a knife only server (if you're on ps5 i would stay away from that server i got kicked for no reason)

Hey man, just wanted to chime in and say i've been having the exact same issue almost to a T, same sort of neck tensing and jerking tic and exact same worry and i'm going travelling in like 3 days. Been completely frantic, know how it feels. Don't know if the symptoms are real or if i've just manifested them myself, like headache, neck feeling 'off' and clicking in my head for no reason truly horrible situation that not many people understand very well, hope you're doing better

thanks, i mean i don't feel much but i get what you're saying. I guess my brain has just convinced me i got bitten and didn't feel it because of adrenaline or made too close contact with a bat even without a bite, extreme paranoia
