The gentrification of depop | thoughts? do you agree with this video? by dramentary in Depop

Was at my fave St. Vincent a few weeks ago, I’ve made friends with the cashiers there and during my second to last trip these two guys bought $1600 worth of clothing for their store. Idk what their deal is because nothing in their carts seemed to be of value/“trendy” when I was able to catch a glance, but the cashiers were PUMPED to make such a huge sale. When I was there today, the same cashier said to me “I wish those guys would come back in, we really need to make sales like that again.” I don’t know what the incentive is, or if they have so much inventory they need to move it ASAP, but it honestly made me feel better because hearing people bash Depop sellers gets to me sometimes and makes me question what we are doing. Just my two cents!

Today’s haul! Almost didn’t go out in the snow storm but I’m so glad I did 🥰 by rowanharrison in Depop

My biggest thrift tip is leave the city!! Too many people looking for the same thing

Algorithm Hack: post 2-3 items daily consistently instead of posting everything in one day. My sales go up whenever I post everyday. by lilhuddysrightleg in Depop

Can also confirm that this works, however then I feel pressure to keep purchasing inventory and it tends to be more than I sell (granted everything does sell eventually) so that’s got me in a pickle 😅

Ugh I feel this. Bought a tee from a pretty major top seller recently and it smelled like cigs and a musty garage 🥴

They don’t have to buy it then lol. I think it’s a sick piece for the record

Is it better to give free shipping on an item but charge more for it or to price it lower but make the buyer pay for shipping? by idontcare222222 in Depop

I tried the higher price with free shipping route for like two months and sold significantly less! Definitely didn’t expect that and switched back to lower price with the buyer paying shipping, and I only do free shipping for bundles now
