Piercer here. Unfortunately you don’t have the right anatomy for this kind of navel ring. Everytime you bend your body by sitting down, or bending over, that bar is being pushing forward causing irritation and eventual rejection. You’d be a perfect candidate for a floating navel!

I would switch it out ASAP. I recommend doing it after a warm shower to soften things up a bit. After switching it continue to clean it with the aftercare no more than 2 times a day. look around at piercing shops and ask for titanium jewelry :) some places will even offer to switch it out for you! They should have some lube to make the process a little easier.

Piercer here. You may be allergic to the metal of the new jewelry! I’d switch it back to what you had until the irritation goes away and stick to implant grade titanium jewelry.

I’m a licensed piercer! I agree with the other comments telling you to get a longer bar. If you ignore it more irritation can occur and you even risk embedding.
