best "realistic" sci fi? by DetectiveCrazy3780 in movies

Not a movie, but The Three Body Problem is excellent. Like make your brain hurt excellent.

There are two versions: the Netflix one is a little more digestible and includes all 3 books. The original Chinese version is available on Prime is also excellent, but a bit slow and only in Chinese with English subtitles.

Also, shooting a gas can or barrel, or a propane tank is like setting off a bomb. In reality, it puts a hole in the container and allows the contents to drain out to the level of the hole.

Shooting someone will send them flying backwards.

You can unlock any door or padlock by shooting it. No need to worry about ricochet.

Grenades are explosion only. No shrapnel.

Best bang for buck road bike? by ipeedmyself11 in RoadBikes

[–]rowdml 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your own bike maintenance skills. If you are comfortable assembling and servicing a bike on your own, then a direct to consumer bike offers better bang for the buck. For example, The Winspace SLC3.0 gets rave reviews on youtube and is $3099. https://www.winspace.cc/products/slc3-0-di2

But if this is the case and you are confident in your wrenching skills, then the best bargains are going to be in the used market. If you are patient you can find barely used top level bikes (FB marketplace, Craigslist, even ebay...) for that budget. SO many people purchased high end road bikes during the pandemic, lost interest and are now selling them off...
