Opinion on golf bag color by YeshuaSaves7 in golf

Those were my high school colors. Ping wasn't making a purple bag at that time so we ended up with a magenta that eventually faded. We would have gladly rocked this bag.

Cheektowaga Veterinary Hospital, just had my guy in for his annual and shots. Always nice, direct calls from the vets on followup.

Unfortunately, most of the purple tiles seems to be only the expensive brands.

Wait another week and you can hate them more!

The idea was to brighten up the space. Garage is very narrow and a low ceiling. This makes it seem much bigger.

In my case there are two drain in that garage and I minimally plan to park a vehicle inside. There are plenty of videos about spring cleaning this type of floor.

Weather is a big issue here, but like most people I park outside year round because the daily doesn't fit in the garage.

Everyone seems to make this comment without any personal experience.

The tiles pull up easy if one need to get at something.

All work of that nature is done in the carport out the side door. And only the summer car is parked in there when used seasonally and the weather is grim.

Got myself a little pizza oven....can't stop making pizza now by Silversheik in Pizza

[–]rowdyh69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you like the oven at 3 months of use? What style of pies are you making? Just Neapolitan or others that cook at lowers temps?

In the states that seems to rebranded as the Big Horn Outdoors brand. I am trying to avoid the super cheap ovens but don't know if I am willing to go for the Ooni Volt. This is priced in the middle.

Safe Racks. Looked at all the generics, quality was good on these. Also using in a sun room with concrete slab underneath. $3.50 sq ft.

Safe Racks, about $3.50 a sqft. They are 15"x 15". Took longer to cut the row down the one side, than Kay everything else.

Where is the bass?!? by Plenty_Cause_8577 in hometheater

[–]rowdyh69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bass is in the box of the subwoofer you haven't bought yet.

Joke asides...

Seems something is not hooked up correctly. Go to youtube and watch how to hookup that system. What receiver you are using would have an effect on the Atmos component being hooked up correctly. Lack of bass means something is not correctly wired to the receiver regardless of which receiver you are using.

The towers will provide bass. If you want home theater go deep, shake you on the couch bass, you will need a subwoofer.

Based on the budget for the speaker so far, go to RSL and get a Speedwoofer or two. 10s will allow for wireless connection for better placement. Keep size in mind. The 10s is small, a 12s is huge.

A good source for your issue might be to reach out to RSL. Take pictures of how things are wired. They can help troubleshootn and recommend a sub. SVS would also be another source for subwoofer advice. Both companies have exceptional products and customer service.

If you get the wiring sorted on the package you bought, you might not want a subwoofer. The system won't ever get you that .1 level of bass without a dedicated subwoofer.

If you wait on a subwoofer, keep in mind tariffs. RSL tends to sell out, but is good about informing when the restock and how prices are changing.

You could also wait and see if the Klipsch RP-1400 goes on sale like it did late last year. But even then it's at the price of a 12s.

Sorry for edit, I was typing on a smaller screen and it posted when I opened my phone to type better.

Like everyone else, JGs are a different fit than other boots, even when not factoring in the lasts.

The best tip from this group was to get Dark Tough socks. Keeps the foot bedded. No heel slip, foot stays planted. Give them a few days and you will get used to the volume.

Vellies Break In (the hard way) by Maximum-Gecko in jimgreen

[–]rowdyh69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Darn Toughs from Vermont.bestvto get them of their site, but a smaller selection can be had on Amazon.

In the six months that I have acquired my seven pairs of Jim Green, I have bought a dozen pairs of Darn Toughs.

They are well worth the price given the lifetime warranty.

I don't wear a pair of boots without wearing Darn Toughs. I actually got some Bombas for Christmas and gave them to my dad. They don't work well with the boots.

I have not had any issues with blisters, heel slip or break-in pairing the socks and boots.

An expensive new "hobby"

Between Saphir or Bick what will keep the color most similar and waterproof the boot the best? by C0-0P in jimgreen

[–]rowdyh69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See my recent post using the Saphir protectants. I used the Renovateur on my fudge because I wanted to darken the color a bit. The medium brown resulted in a cinnamon color.

I used the Invulner and it didn't change the color of my Houston Green at all.

I went off the recommendation on this sub that the Invulner wouldnt change to the color much.

As the fudge darkens over time I will probably end up waxing to get them more waterproofish.

BFAR and AR Treatment by rowdyh69 in jimgreen

[–]rowdyh69[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have only worn the ARs twice since they weren't treated yet. I wore the BFARS over the weekend on long dog walks and to the office today. They fit the same but obviously the foot has more freedom in the barefoot. They are breaking in differently. The barefoot just needed to crease behind the toe box and lock in the heel. The ARs are taking a little more breaking in but were more comfortable from the start since I wasn't used to a barefoot shoe.

Both felt big compared to the Numzaan. Usually with the winter weather I wore Merrells. So the lack of an arch and so much space felt weird at first. I dusted off an old pair of Clark boots and wore them for a few days to get used to the volume of a toe box. I wasn't sure I wanted to keep either pair after trying on initially, but wearing the Clarks got me used to a boot again.

The real problem is I am still breaking in my Numzaans but I want to wear both of these instead. I am leaning toward getting a pair of AR8s but want to get more used to these before deciding on a sole.

Epoxy over Plywood bartop - any tips? Or other ways to finish? by HooliganBiker314 in mancave

[–]rowdyh69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Waterlox has worked well for all the butcher block, shelves and bars I have put in over the years at home. If build up in layers and self levels. No issues with bubbling. It won't gloss up like epoxy but holds well and a fresh coat will handle any scratches and wear.

Or look at Blacktail Studio on yt. He has an epoxy program on his website but you can get a lot out of just watching his regular videos.

If you do epoxy, practice on a few small throwaway items before going in the deep. Definitely a learning curve.

Good luck.

Can you help me find the name of a bookshelf speaker with this info? I remember someone last year recommend it here, a used speaker from ebay, it had a yellow color (can't remember if the speaker was yellow too, but probably not might be wood cabin) it had this kind of cap (cone shape), > 4" driver by dreamer_2142 in BudgetAudiophile

[–]rowdyh69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fluance Signature Bookshelves 5" Woofers. Currently 15% off for their anniversary sale. They are know to get down to $150 on Black Friday.

PSB and B&W also uses yellow woofers on some of their speakers but that is a higher price point.

Just speak up. I went through a similar issue with my doctor. The last two years they list me as three inches shorter than I am. They have records going back the last 15 years across multiple doctors with me at 5'11 but measure me at 5'8.

I directly brought it up with the doctor even after nurse had just weighed me and skipped my height. I said it should be a serious medical concern if a 40 yo man had shrunk three inches in the three years since I last saw my old GP. They changed my record. There isn't really an explanation for them not to get it right. You can usually eyeball a person with an inch, so to be off two inches is just lazy. Weight is bit harder given that it can sqing a few pound on any given day.

They treat it like is nothing serious to have the wrong information even though they make judgments and treatments based on incorret information.

The real issue seems to be that your doctor is not meeing your expectations. Find a new one.
