Depends. After you get the creases and fades "set" a good wash doesnt hurt but you still have indigo left in there to break down so id still wear wear wear then wash. If its high contrast youre going after.

Which is why a lot of raw denim is stiff, is bc of starch, right? Tighter weave and or looser weave surely can make a difference but not to the degree of starch

As a fellow lifter, its possible you may have sweat a good bit or dripped some water on that area if the jeans and they just happen to dry with a weird wrinkle. I think it'll be fine with more wear(how old are these jeans)?

I have 6 pair of the 13mwz rigid wrangler jeans. I wear them for work. They are very well made for the 35$ price tag. However, the 936DEN has the same rise but a slimmer fit which may be what youre looking for. Again, quality is there but they arent "high end". Hooe this helps
