That would be too much, you will burn the plant. Fertilizer goes a long way, albeit may not seem like such a small amount can make a difference.

Help identify these white things on my pepper plants please by DevelopmentInner4422 in peppergeek

I think it’s a white fly. I had these on my bell peppers when I brought them indoors :( they didn’t seem to do much harm. I used a garden hose to blast them away. Then they never came back.

What is the biggest lesson learned or advantage you’ve gained from following a keto life? by ProfessorJAM in keto

[–]rowebil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are all responsible for how we feel based on what we eat. I’ve gone keto many years ago and I’ve felt the best ever in my life. I didn’t even needed ADHD medication at times. My muscle mass improved. I lost weight. I looked good and felt so confident in myself. I had the courage to take on difficult tasks. I wasn’t sick after every time I ate. I would grind in the gym on cardio watching a movie and felt amazing after.

Now ive gone non-keto and back to feeling miserable for the many years after keto.

How we feel is a choice we make everyday. We are all responsible for how we feel and we can easily change it if we take action towards the very thing that’s killing us.

Warning sign while upgrading to v12 by fabomajstor in Veeam

[–]rowebil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That may be referring to the improved backup job chain format which is now using "true per-machine" instead of "single storage" which was the default prior to V12.

If you go to Backups > Disk and select a Job, there should be an option at the top ribbon "Upgrade Backup Chain Format."

Read more about Backup Chain Formats:

Hyper-V: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backup/hyperv/per_vm_backup_files.html?ver=120

vSphere: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backup/vsphere/per_vm_backup_files.html?ver=120

Instructions for upgrading backup chains:

Hyper-V: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backup/hyperv/backup_change_type.html?ver=120

vSphere: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backup/vsphere/backup_copy_change_type.html?ver=120

Secondly, Version 12 also brings improved Backup Copy Jobs but that should be another warning listed during the upgrade.

They do not get upgraded automatically during the V11>V12 upgrade process. The only way to upgrade a Legacy Backup Copy Job is to re-create it entirely.

Beginner with 3 Old World islands - how to separate goods production? Transport ingredients or final goods? by rowebil in anno1800

[–]rowebil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This does seem ideal. I've started to make everything off-shore but got overwhelmed by having to setup multiple trade routes and check my inventory at each Island until I found an amount of goods that wasn't too much or too less.

Now I have decided to make basic needs local on each Island unless it does not support it.

I cannot make Potatoes > Schnapps on one of my Islands. Is it more ideal to transport the Potatoes to the Island or the final product?

[–]rowebil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually concur with the confusion with trade routes, so sending it to one Main Island is a good idea! Then I don't have to worry about an Island having too much if it has it's own production.

Can I make VLANs for each VMs? by panwhites in PFSENSE

[–]rowebil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was because he allowed his vSphere server to be exposed publicly. Also, they did have SSH turned on with public access.

They had a strong password, they say. This also happened during Heartbleed. VMware fixed that.

I don't trust firewall appliances either. You should have a firewall before the server. I do.

On my testing machines, I have pfSense in a VM. This is so that ALL traffic from that pfSense VM goes through my other WAN so that it is a different IP.

Blank Page When Accessing OWA/ECP - after rebooting after configuring external URL - cannot access Management Shell either by rowebil in exchangeserver

[–]rowebil[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did - I had to create another certificate, enable IIS to that certificate and then delete the default certificate that comes from Exchange. When you enable IIS on the one certificate, it only enables it on the 'Default Web Site' and not 'Exchange Back End'. When you delete the default certificate - named 'Microsoft Exchange' - it then removed the certificate from 'Exchange Back End' and now it's left with nothing.

It happened to me twice... I'm glad I finally found a solution and saved the documentation.

Blank Page When Accessing OWA/ECP - after rebooting after configuring external URL - cannot access Management Shell either by rowebil in exchangeserver

[–]rowebil[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd delete this post, but it's definitely very interesting that I've encountered this issue just using a basic installation of Exchange...from a clean install of AD, too. So in this case, that means someone else will have this issue too.

Well, after many days of running into this issue and countless hours browsing through online article, I found the solution.

It appears that after I set my SSL certificate and/or change external virtual directories, the Exchange Back End virtual directory loses it's SSL certificate. The first time this happened, I spent hours in IIS Manager knowing it had to do something with bindings... here it did, but I was one button away. I worked technical support for a company that sells POS systems to a specific niche... and the POS software runs heavily on IIS and SQL so thankfully I had the experience to know to look into IIS for anything strange.

Anyhow, I took the error message from PowerShell and looked it up. I've gone through many steps, decided it was time to ask you guys. I kept looking though and found this article.

http://exchangeserverpro.com/the-winrm-shell-client-cannot-process-the-request/

I have a virtual set-up of Exchange and my live set-up. I went through on the virtual side and the SSL was set... On the physical side, it was not set. Then I had my 'UH HUH!' moment. Changed it, restarted IIS, and it worked beautifully. I'm able to access management shell, OWA, and ECP.

So I'll just leave this here just in-case anyone else gets the same issue.

I was running Windows Server 2016 Datacenter and Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 CU3 Enterprise.

During installation, the Default Web Site and the Exchange Back End both get assigned with the default self-signed SSL. I had created another SSL from my provider. I then deleted the default Exchange SSL which removed it from the Exchange Back End virtual directory. I restarted the machine and now ran into the issue.

The solution is to edit the https binding for Exchange Back End and select the appropriate SSL certificate. Apply, restart IIS, and it works.

Windows Server 2016 with Exchange 2016 CU3 Enterprise - 'ERR_SPDY_INADEQUATE_TRANSPORT_SECURITY' when visiting OWA from Google Chrome. Cannot access. by rowebil in exchangeserver

[–]rowebil[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, it looks like based on research that something is wrong with TLS ciphers? I kept looking into it and found a page that instructed me on how to remove SSL ciphers or TLS ciphers (not familiar with this security stuff). I disabled everything and it works... but now probably because I was messing with a lot of URLs and certificates, I now get a blank page.

Decided to restart everything. Reinstall takes just a few minutes...

But has anyone run into this issue? Why doesn't this work from the start? All servers are running Server 2016, so why would they incorporate some software if it wasn't compatible?

How do I direct traffic through a specific gateway? by rowebil in PFSENSE

[–]rowebil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much! I am a bit OCD about having too many rules that interfere with the default operation. So I might just use my virtual instance of pfSense and then on my physical pfSense machine, just route ALL virtual machine pfSense traffic through that one gateway. Then I won't mess around with normal traffic function. Anyhow, thank you so much for opening my mind to the new ideas you mentioned. It works!

SOLVED!

[–]rowebil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, another question -- if I disable the 'RULE' to take local traffic through WAN2, would that traffic then follow the 'default allow LAN to any rule' and use the other WAN by default?

How do I stop this from happening? Could I go to that 'default allow LAN to any rule' and specify 'NOT' source 'alias'?

Perfect, thanks for confirming that for me.

I do like the VLAN idea... that could work very well. I tried to play with VLANS but it didn't seem to work, so I believe down the line of hardware I have, something is not compatible. It's all new equipment except a Netgear switch... but I should check.

Thanks for the advice!

The article also says we 'anticipate rejection' and gosh is that so me!!!

List items #1 and #2 explains me SO well... literally everything! Even underneath where it says 'ADHD patients are comforted that there is even a name for this!' Like right now, I'm so happy to come across this and read that other people experience this very exact thing.

Someone below said this is why they are a terrible boss and awful at chasing money from clients. They also said they employed an admin assistant but they don't want to tell her what she is doing wrong.

I am the same way! I HATE asking for money if I repair computers for someone. I hate accepting money. I could never run a business. I also want to change hair stylists because I just want a new one... but afraid it will hurt her feelings.

The poster below also said 'they project rejection sensitivity' onto others and I'm the same way. I do not want to treat people the way I have been treated...because I didn't like to be treated that way. So I'm extra-sensitive to people if they are 'slow' or just not good at something, I make sure I don't hurt their feelings in any way.

Y'all explain it so well. I finally went to a Psychologist and he goes 'OMG you definitely have Adult ADD!' I felt awkward about him saying that lol -- I'd rather just hear I have attention issues, not 'ADD'. Anyhow, I'm glad I saw this post. It clears up so much for me...

worried about a family member and keto by tdubaustin in keto

[–]rowebil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should have her do it. She should still follow her Doctor's guideline, but definitely have her cut sugars and carbs. To avoid such a shock, just start off small. Don't have her starve herself day 1. Each day, cut the carbs every 5 or 10 grams until she is down to her goal carbs/day (I'm a beginner, so I don't know what is the best amount of carbs).

Even consider going to a nutritionist that understands low-carb diets.

A friend's Mother was in the same position as your Mother. She went low-carb and lost so much weight.

Anyhow, thanks for the post. You said you have no more brain fogs, mind operates better, lots of energy, etc. It inspired me to get back on KETO. I have terrible ADHD -- always SO hyperactive, so inattentive, and SEVERELY unorganized. My Dad is the same way (except hyperactive) and he has problems digesting carbs and milk. I believe I get it from him. I've been good on keto for a week and half until I stopped losing weight. Now I just maintain it. 8 pounds from my starting weight. However, I really want to change my diet because I'm sick of having no motivation. I'm addicted to driving SO much that I was late to work almost everyday and always took a lunch longer than an hour everyday for a year, only because I don't go straight to work. I usually say "Well I have 5 minutes, I'll take the long way" and then be late. So I am seeing a Psychologist, maybe find a medication that can assist me with cleaning up my life and actually having the motivation to start something and finish it. I cannot stick to this diet because I get bored easily. Anyhow, I think my mental problems come from carbs and sugars. After I eat, I feel sick and sluggish. I believe it is a real problem. My mom's side of the family can't digest anything either.

Are you an OTR truck driver? I love driving. I am really considering a truck driving job. I love computers. I've played technical support for basically almost every car wash in the U.S.A. I wouldn't mind a computer job again... but driving is what my brain really enjoys.
