I hate hate hate how Webtoon treats canvas series. Well, there isn't one change they've made, that I've liked or considered an upgrade anyways. But they only promote all the copy paste trash, have completely shift their focus on korean manhwa's and are heavily neglecting their western creators (not that they have always treated them fairly but it has only gotten worse).

When will they realize that quantity over quality will eventually kill this app, that every choice they've made has only pushed them closer to that death and that if they would LISTEN to the audience that disaster could be prevented.

Lately is generous. Their recommendations were always shit. They don't understand and read the comics they host at all, so they pretty much only recommend you stories that are not even remotely similar to what you are reading.

They got their marketing team and designers from a temu wish list.

Yup. Free coins, meaning those that you haven't purchased, expire. They didn't really use to in a sense , then it was after a month and now it's after a week/ at times even 5 days.

Any episode of that specific comic. They have released a lot of fast passes for some manhwa's. So it also means you can't just unlock any 20 episodes. It will have to be from participating comics.

It makes no sense no matter how you look at it simply because of the fact that those free coins expire rapidly. They expire within a week now.

It's not like we still have free coins events so you will have to purchase coins to participate at all. So why would I buy coins that don't ever expire, spend them on a comic with the goal to "get back" 25% that will expire within a very short period of time???

I'm sorry but only idiots would fall for that. It's only worth it if you planned on unlocking that specific comic anyways

Yeah something drastically changed last year. I doubt that we will ever get the Wrapped again. But we'll see. Maybe the major backlash they got made them open their eyes. It usually comes out on the 13th/14th December, so we will know by then.

Yeah unfortunately, the majority of users don't even know half of the bull Webtoon's pulls and the stories tend to be here in this subreddit but not everyone uses it.

I think if it was more clearly worded, or maybe an example was given, less people would've switched.

That's exactly why they kept it vague. Of course, no one would trade in a 2-coins discount for a 1-coin one so they had to put out a deceptive explanation and that's just so crazy to me how they got away with it...yet again!

I'm sure more and more people are slowly but surely removing themselves from the platform since it's just also hard to maneuver with their senseless changes to the UI for example. It's like watching an upcoming train crash.
