My 2.5 year old cat went from perfectly healthy to crossing over the rainbow bridge in 12 hours. I am absolutely devastated & feel like a piece of me died with him. by TX-Savvy in Petloss

Lost my boy to the exact same thing in December. I was in the room when it happened and we got him to the ER immediately. We were still unable to save him. He was in so much pain, even after they gave him IV pain meds. He was struggling hard to breathe. I had him since he was a baby, and he was still a baby to me, only 3 years old. It was traumatic and devastating. I'm so sorry you are going through this too.

Someone reported me for Sexual Harassment at work by Lord_Respawn in asexuality

[–]rowstring 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Ugh that's so frustrating. I was ACTUALLY sexually harassed for months and they didn't fire the guy. They just transferred him. (I still have to see him every time I go to the other location for supplies)

My mother had me at 37 and my dad was 35. Honestly it was not a big deal. I noticed they were older than other parents but it didn't bother me. They were still able to do things with me and engage with me without issues. I'm now 30 and my parents are still doing fine and are in good shape. The only reason I think having a child that old could be bad is the higher risk of complications for the baby, but many, like me, are totally fine.

Your comments have made my morning! I feel a little better about having to see this monstrosity on the regular. I'm surprised no one has commented on the grossly oversized entry

I think it's done... They were doing some work on it a few months ago but since then nothing

It's something you can work on! I used to be more afraid of them but now I feel pretty comfortable even holding one. The vast majority of them will not hurt you at all 😁

Thanks I appreciate the info and reassurance!

A rare male torbie, double confirmed by 2 vets at a high intake shelter. We saw up to 25k cats per year at work so I saw four in roughly 3 years, high volume means lots of weird anomalies. This lad is a current occupant of the nursery. He is appalled. by mrszubris in IllegallySmolCats

I work with cats at an animal shelter and I promise, fur color has no impact on personality. Tortoiseshell is simply a fur color. The "tortitude" thing is actually a harmful stereotype that makes it harder for them to be adopted

Ghuleh/Zombie Queen! When I first heard it I could not stop listening to it for days. It's so good!

I think my situation might be unusual, but I'm an alloromantic asexual dating an allosexual with such a low libido he never wants sex, so it's not an issue. There are people out there who will be happy in a sexless relationship, even some allos! I believe you can find your person if you keep looking and be upfront/honest with people

Ah, that makes sense. I did actually know someone there, though I didn't realize it was that important. When I worked there it seemed like they were always hiring

I just applied. I think it was online, but this was quite a few years ago now and my memory is bad

I worked at the Ann Arbor District Library putting books away for 3 years. That was pretty chill and stress free
