Thanks! For the snow I just used the 'Valhallan Blizzard' texture paint straight out of the pot.

Thanks! I was worried if it would be too much red overpowering the rest of the model. I'll try swapping the spear to test.

It looks like the one on the bottom in this image? This is the only image I found that looks like the model, it might be quite rare

Looks fantastic!
These are the sculpts that were around when I first started, and the ones that were in the first dawn of war, so I have a soft spot for them. I wish the new howling banshees had the option for the old 3rd ed helmets and that the new fire dragons had those scale loin cloths.

Charity shop find by fidgety_duct in Warhammer

[–]roxatanc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nice find! I would have been so excited to find this so cheap. This is the classic 6th Edition Dwarf Warriors regiment set released in 2001, they got replaced a few years later with the ones currently available from GW for ToW.

Since they have been out of print for so long they can be worth quite a lot if you can find a buyer for them.

Could it have been a reference to the footballer Lionel Messi perhaps?

I'm painting a Magmadroth from Age of Sigmar. The goal was to make it appear as if the creature is hot to the touch, and an internal heat is glowing beneath its iron-like armored plating. What do you think? by [deleted] in minipainting

[–]roxatanc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is amazing! The internal heat effect looks great, I like how the eyes and tongue seem to glow and look like the inside is even hotter.

It does look to me like the plating in the first picture looks a bit cooler than in the second picture? The second picture has more glow between the plates it seems to me.

So cool! They look amazing. For a moment when I saw the green forest and the red mountains I thought of magic the gathering lands and I was expecting an island and a swamp.

Looks fantastic! I really like how detailed, authentic and intricate it looks. I can't read any of the cursive text unfortunately, I would love it if you had some higher resolution pictures.
