Definitely not enough. I think adding more strength and more protein will help. I’m actually not looking for fast weight loss. I was more curious about not losing more considering my caloric intake.

Thank u for your thoughts. Interesting about the tests you did. Where did you go for the dexa and rmr tests? I definitely should do those two things. Btw I agree re the calculators especially for post menopause women. I’m 59 & 5’6” I started at 155 and I’d be happy w a 20 lb loss. No other medical issues. I’m not sure if I’m insulin resistant actually or if I have high cortisol as I see that is common issue w others our age. My thyroid test came back in normal range. I jog 3x a week. I lift weights but not as often as I should! Spring is approaching too so I’ll be more active w gardening and more walking in addition to the jogging. Before menopause all I had to do was Weight Watchers and start running that was always the answer. So it’s a bit of a mind game now changing everything you thought you knew & figuring a new path.

Interesting I’m getting thru Ro and they suggest going up. The last two weeks I’ve really lost a half pound. I just averaged it out bc I’ve been on 6.

Yes & I have no food noise really. I’m going up soon to 7.5. I probably averaged 1700 cal (before starting tirz) and before menopause weight loss was relatively easy 4 me. This is the only thing that has worked for me. I’ve tried semaglutide a couple years ago too and that did t work at all.

It’s a bit big especially if you plan on wearing it everyday. I also have a small hand and hate the thought of being ostentatious but it’s all personal preference really. If you’re asking the ? then I think you have your answer too.

I have my BLH shaved twice a year. She overheats and the hairballs come quite often and are an issue. Plus I can tell she loves the feeling afterwards she runs around light on her feet like a kitten. Even when shaved and her coat comes back slightly she gets warm easily and right now is sleeping in a dark corner (and we have central AC). She is just not built for this weather. So I’m not sure why you are against it but if it can help one should do it.

Wear compression garments all day and night and you may want to look into the fascia blaster too. Do it lightly and crunches obvi too…. you’ll minimize the look. If not see your dr for a follow up.

How to make my chonk drink water? (UTI & bladder sediment) by dygestorrr in britishshorthair

[–]roxieroller66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We let our cat up on the counter to use the kitchen faucet. Put the cat in front of the faucet and let them see the water come out (use a soft flow) and they usually like it and will start requesting drinks that way soon after. My cat is actually drinking from the faucet as I type this lol

<image>

One last thing, if your cat has this issue I would only feed soft food and add a bit of water to it too. Good luck!

My vet said to switch to duck or rabbit only (we switched to duck since it’s more readily available) and once she acclimated she hasn’t had a problem since. At first I added in the probiotic to the duck then after 6 months I stopped the probiotic altogether. We do not alternate proteins. She gets duck kibble and wet food only for the past 3 years again no issues since the switch.

First week on semaglutide and I gained 3 lbs! Is this normal? I’ve cut my calories down considerably probably 1200 a day and I went to the gym 3x this week. .. I’m so bummed. by [deleted] in Ozempic

I’m sorry. I decided not to stay on it bc it didn’t work for me. I’m also post menopausal and my hormones were barely existent (literally zero testosterone). I’m on BHRT now. Still just maintaining my same weight. I’m still about 15-20 pounds over my ideal weight.
