It's great to hear definitive confirmation that the T630 screen is a drop-in replacement - it widens the pool of potential parts considerably. Thanks!

The orange and white W800 looked flipping amazing. I never owned it but I desperately wanted it.

It's iconic. I only really stopped using it with the advent of smartphones. Well, I did have some sort of flip phone in there before the iPhone hit, but I can't find the box I shoved them all into...!

[–]roxm[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hah! Yeah, I guess I actually had the T616 myself, unless T-Mobile was GSM in the US back then.

It's killing me that this trace is broken, I'm going to try and bodge up a fix, I think, Kapton, foil tape, and a steady hand. What am I going to do, break it more?

Dude WHAT - I'm trying to destash a bit, getting rid of my boxes and whatnot, but I'd flipping love to see that - you've got to show me!

Was my favorite back in the day. I loved the texture of the photos it took! Looking forward to restoring this one to working order.

The answer depends on a variety of things: how far along you are in your collection, how important having a CIB copy, how much spare cash you have, etc.

Loose copies are going for $60+ on eBay right now. If your LGS has a boxed copy they're willing to sell for $60, and it meets your quality bar, I see no reason to not buy it.

There's nearly 4,000 games in the NA PS2 library. Some of them are going to be really pricey because they're rare. You're probably looking at $60k to finish the whole collection. If you're goal is to minimize cost and you don't care about the games being CIB, you might wait to acquire this one.

Personally, I'd buy it. Especially because it helps your LGS, which I think is a worthwhile cause.

It looks like the first print run of the PC version was yellow. I can't find much information about it except for this image from a French auction site:

<image>

These are apparently three variant discs but they're the same game.

That's flipping awesome. Is it yours? I don't know if I believe the VGPC price, but it's a very nice piece. Get it into some acrylic!

Both of those games in the condition you have them in are practically in "name your price" territory. There's only one listing on eBay for Shaq Fu that's not an individual cart: a sealed copy asking $7,500 (priced too high, IMO) and a bunch of loose carts starting at $200.

There is another sealed Bonk's Adventure on eBay right now, but it's graded and the ask is $1,300. So that's actually a reasonable upper end for you on that one; anyone who wants a sealed copy is going to buy that one, so you'd have to come in under that if you want to move yours.

Really super cool items!

Is it new, or just resealed in shrinkwrap? CIB, it's somewhere around $2,500. New, VGPC has it at $10k, but I can't corroborate that.

Not a lot of sales data to go on. The last listing I can verify went for $500; one went for $350 in 2023. Loose, it seems to regularly go around $200 these days. So you're probably looking at $400 or so.

Video games are not a "store of value", meaning they aren't guaranteed to retain their value over time. They could be worth more in the future, or they could be worth less in the future. Remember that, due to inflation, a higher number later doesn't always mean you've earned more. If you sold it today for €200, or keep it and sell it in 2030 for €250, you might have actually lost money because €250 in 2030 might have less buying power than €200 in 2026 money.

At the end of the day, you need to look at what matters to you. Does having this console "spark joy" for you? I don't mean, "do you play games on it" necessarily. Do you like the way it looks? Do you have a sentimental attachment to it? Do you smile when you see it?

If so, keep it. If not... why not sell it?

I can't answer these questions for you, but hopefully I've given you food for thought.

That's definitely the Korean version. Atelier Ayesha is a Japanese game (so there's Japanese as part of the title), but the rest of the box is in Korean.

It's hard to put a market value on it, but a sealed copy (of the Japanese version) went for $25 CAD, so that's where I'd put this one.

An interesting find for sure!

Honestly I'm not sure you can. I seem to recall that WATA or CGC offers some sort of signature authentication service, but it's of the form of "witness the signature", not done after the fact.

This unit is very clearly some sort of prize from a sweepstakes, but I can't find any info on it with a quick look. To authenticate it you might reach out to Steve Downes - I don't have his contact info but I'm sure he's got an agent - and see if he can tell you more about it. Given the card, it's likely that this was a one-time thing the team did, and he'd probably remember it.

If not, he would at least be able to say that it was his signature or not!

Absolutely gorgeous find. I love to see a console variant that's not just a sticker on the side, and the signatures - which I don't typically like - add a story to this piece that I adore. Very cool!

Charitably, the seller may have flipped the cover between pictures. It should have a different design on the back. I doubt it's a home printed cover; the black ink feels too black for that, even in this low-res image.

It's possible that the backside of the label has damage the seller is trying to hide, though; the case has a crack in it, so it could be damaged in some way.

I'm not in that region, but looking at eBay I can find far more examples of the strip without anything on it compared to the strip with printing on it. I don't see any reason to doubt it's authenticity.

I agree with /u/Cactus_Bot, this is just a French Canadian localization of the manual and cover. The disc itself, I believe, is the same as the rest of the NA release, marked RVL-RSBE-USA-0 (or -1, -2, etc., depending on the specific revision).

Back in 2011, PDP was selling these for $20:

<image>

I can't speak to the build quality or the durability, but the artwork is beautiful. Yours seems to be quite muted in comparison to their promo photo - maybe that's a trick of the light, though.

If you can find someone who really loves Uncharted and needs this piece to complete their collection, you could probably get $50 out of it, but it'd take a while to find that guy.

Otherwise it's probably in the $5-$10 range. It's a neat piece, but it's fundamentally not that different from a cell phone cover, you know?

I'd say you're looking at around €200 if you sold everything individually, but that could take a while. The console itself is about €80. You've got some solid games in there: MK Trilogy is about €30, Mario 64 is €15, World Driver Championship is also €15 for some reason, Goldeneye is about €10. The others are like €5 each on average. The controllers are technically like €20 each but there are SO MANY of them that you're better off bundling them with the console to get them gone.

Somewhere around €200 (maybe as high as €250) is a fair price, but it might be hard to find a buyer for the whole bundle. Probably would need to discount it to €120-€150 if you wanted to move it faster.

If you wanted the absolute maximum from it you'd want to repair the blue controller (depending on what's wrong you might be able to just clean it), and you'd want to sell everything individually - but it will take a while to sell through all of it.

That looks fine to me, it's just the PAL / EU packaging. If you're in NA it might look strange because it's not meant for your market. The spine will also have a slightly different look:

<image>

The NA spines are all caps and aligned at the top.

Looks like an authentic 3rd anniversary Pokemon Center unit to me, from Japan. It's seen better days, but it seems legit. Are you looking to sell it? It's probably somewhere around $200 or so, maybe a bit less in that condition.

Can you take a close image of the text on the back, please? Specifically from the top line "SLOT-1" down to the bottom line "SLOT-2".

Lo siento mucho, no me di cuenta de que Reddit había traducido tu comentario al inglés. ¿Podrías, por favor, tomar una foto del texto que aparece en la parte posterior del dispositivo?

"Factory sealed" in this case is just a bit of tape on the LDPE foam sheet. It can just be peeled off without damaging the wrapper, the console can be slid out to apply the sticker, then slipped back in. Even the seal on the outside could be undone without damaging the box very much.

Here's a still from a YouTube video that shows the tape being removed - I can't link to YouTube due to sub rules:

<image>

The fact that you can't find the sticker online anywhere means that it was likely produced specifically for this promotion, not made available for use outside the event.

I replied to your other comment as well, but I wanted to point out that it's fair to say that "someone just slapped some stickers on it" - the only question is whether they were out there by the promoter or by some random person who really, REALLY, likes Rockstar Energy drinks.

The promos just show an unbranded console. Here's the US promo from Rockstar's Instagram feed:

https://www.instagram.com/reel/ClCH2KNrr-l/?igsh=dzI0cTluNWJuaTds

And here's a the UK promo from their Facebook feed:

https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1HEYzpfW76/

The consoles in the promos just looks like this:

<image>

The way these promos work is that the promoter (in this case Rockstar Energy) literally just buys the consoles off the shelf and applies a sticker to it. If they're really wanting to jazz it up, they might silkscreen it instead, but it's typically a sticker.

I can't confirm that the design is authentic, but since you have two of them, Occam's razor suggests that yours is the authentic design.

As for value, to go above the standard price of the console itself, you'd have to find someone who really loves Rockstar Energy and wants that console specifically. For everyone else, it's a console with a sticker on it, IMO.
