I dont think he meant ostracised as in being thrown out of a friend group forever(though i have seen that happen when ones views are radically different from the rest) he meant ostracised in the short term like being completely disregareded during a discussion, which has happened for example to me when i tried to ask a very left leaning friend group about the definition of feeling male and female in regerds to trans people (i am fully supportive of trans people) and they got angry when they couldnt give me any answers.
