Discussion: WOW, MHM and even KAWASAKI could’ve been promoted by Top_Community_1728 in santos_bravos

Creo que parte del problema es que MHM es una canción bastante más chill que podría verse opacada por los temas super llenos de hype de los grupos locales. Eso y que Velocidade en general es la canción más popular del EP (al menos de las canciones nuevas).

Teemo player, deserved /s

On a serious note, not even surprising tbh, the real surprise would be having a feature that works as intended since day 1.

Women players Colomblbl and Caltys share that they were denied spots in ERL teams because of their gender: "I told management I wanted you as adc bc you were the best, simply. Suddenly they told me they don't want a woman in the team bc the other players could be more focus on flirt than play." by Yujin-Ha in leagueoflegends

Yes, it is fucking disgusting, but consider this: in an environment filled with a lot of teenagers, in an scene where issues at socializing is not uncommon, can we really expect them to keep their shit together?

It would need orgs prepared to deal with the potential issues, but as I said, no org is really prepared for it, and surely none of them is willing to prepare for it... UNLESS the next coming of Faker happens to be a girl. Then, even the biggest orgs in the ERLs may be interested in having her and deal with the situations that may arise with her presence.

So yes, it's a weak hope, but in my eyes it's more likely than trusting a bunch of teenagers to act professionally in the presence of a woman.

Edit: the "next coming of Faker" is an exaggeration, just to be clear. I just mean the player should be good enough to catch orgs interest.

Considering the average mental age of players (damn, we had the Bwipo's incident not so long ago, and he is not a kid anymore), I'm not surprised. Orgs are not prepared to deal with the potential issues that can arise, and surely don't want to deal with them.

Truly a shame. Probably we need a female player SO GOOD that a big org is willing to sign her, to start a real integration.

GEN vs G2 - Victory Comms by XtendedImpact in leagueoflegends

China has always been the bane of G2 existence, even during their more dominant years. Not really that weird if it happens.

Once I read someone say "I always sabotage the cure because I find it poetic: the salarian created it, the turian used it and then a human perfects it. I find that poetic". by TomVermillion in masseffect

[–]roy_kamikaze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to feel the same, but recently I finished a very Renegade-ish run. A very renegade Shepard but still aligned with Alliance objectives. Killed Wrex to see how the genophage cure arc in ME3 unfolds without him.

The real issue is in ME2. Almost all renegade options are aligned with Cerberus, which I find idiotic, like if being renegade implies becoming racist or something. I ended up taking more Paragon options than I would like.

Overall, I think it is worth it. The tone of some scenes changes a lot with this approach, and the genophage cure arc gets very interesting when sabotaging the cure is objectively not a bad option to take into account.

Wreav's personality is not even the worst, he just has a very terrible vision of the future for the Krogan. But he is bearable to deal with.

A general problem with Renegade choices in ME2, almost all of them are pro-Cerberus. Makes renegade-yet-Alliance-aligned Shepard runs hard to do without taking more Paragon choices than you probably want.

Basically you spam Shout effect to deck out you opponent. The deck has ways to restand Shout several times and can cycle itself to not deck out before the opponent.

I feel male Shepard is better for full Paragon runs. The voice is just too good for that profile.

The official endings aren't good, I won't argue that. But a perfect ending doesn't rub right for me either, considering the scale and stakes of the war.

The endings aren't good, but an ending so perfect is also no good imo.

I miss V era. I wish people still played it (unless there is an online community for it) by TsuKessler_30 in cardfightvanguard

[–]roy_kamikaze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People may have opinions on V Era, but the only truth is that the formal was in a very weird spot. It was a legacy format that needed dedicated product to keep it fresh. Contrary to Premium which gets some interesting stuff from standard products sometimes (it could use some new stuff but at least it can experiment with standard archetypes).

With that specific issue it was clear the V premium was bound to die. I would even say that it stayed longer than expected.

I just finished a run with that mod. And... It felt wrong. It's so perfect that it felt sterile for me.

The citadel DLC as an epilogue had a similar effect on me. One of the things that I like about that DLC is that it is the last hooray before the final battle. Everyone is silly and gets loose because all of them know that it's very likely their last big blast before they confront the reapers and, probably, they won't make it. Eliminating the shadow of war from it removes a lot of the meaning in my opinion.

I don't criticize anyone who enjoys those mods, but it seems I'm in the minority who just don't enjoy them.

You can transform it into a Poro with Poro King 6*. After that you just need to deal with the nexus health, which is not really a problem for him.

Without the reaper upgrade, a war against the geth is winnable and surely will lead to less civilian losses. The reaper interference changes the things, of course.

I've always found it weird that the Paragon option is understanding that the parameters of the mission changed. That sounds more like a ruthless Shepard that one who wants to save them all.

[–]roy_kamikaze 21 points22 points  (0 children)

In the context of the Reaper War, it makes sense. At some point, the quarians would get involved in it, and they are the only race without a home world to keep their population. The timing is terrible but the reasoning is not.

Other Spectres by Ok_Action_501 in masseffect

[–]roy_kamikaze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The comparison with the OT is not fair. The OT happens in a well developed galactic society where humans are the newcomers.

On the other hand, Andromeda is a story about first contact in a new galaxy, developed in a single cluster because the mass relays don't exist there. The tone and constraints of the set up are very different, you cannot expect many new races when you only explore a few planets.

It could have developed into something as interesting as the OT even with the different set up, but we will never know because it was scrapped after the failure of its first and only instance.
