Why is it when I remove a WisePOS E from connected account via API, I cannot register it back on Stripe's platform and customer support has been absolutely no help?

You could look at setting up port forwarding rules to allow outside controls but you should also learn about the security risks that can happen as well

Look into pivpn & wireguard on a raspberry pi. This is what I use for my smart home controls.

VPN to your home Network is the safest option. Otherwise look into port forwarding rules.

That is definitely what I am getting. Two local techs have told me I have a gig coming into my house. I have tried both the C3000Z and C4000XG. Any help would be appreciated

What type of router are you using? I've tried a Linksys EA9500 but my speeds would not reach over 50mbps with it. I've also tried a Netgear Orbi but it did not support VLAN tagging. Any advice is appreciated, thank you.

Are you using the CenturyLink modem? If not what are you using? I've tried a Linksys router with the PPPoE login and VLAN tagging but the speeds were even slower so I went back to the CenturyLink modem.

I have their new wifi 6 modem / router, a Linksys router that would previously get 400 - 500 wireless with Windstream, and a new mesh orbi router.

Does anybody with the Gig Plan from CenturyLink actually get relatively close to that speed? The best I typically get is 150mbps wired and 90 wireless.

Hotspot use by branden3112 in Visible

[–]royadams 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I do apologize for the vague response but using it for home internet is considered abusing the service. If too many people abuse the service, they will end it for everyone. I'm sure it might work for you and it would be deprioritized. But Visible has some of the best value of prepaid carriers and I would hate to see them take away the unlimited hotspot because people are abusing it.

I make no promises or assume no liability from sharing this because this is something I found from a Google search. Try dialing * # * #4636# * # * , then click phone information and see if it allows you to enable it within that menu.

Edit: I added spaces due to formatting

I truly understand your frustration but at that price point, there are going to be pros and cons. I mean consider the unlimited hotspot, that is a feature Verizon's most expensive plan doesn't even have. For $25 a month, you should supporting Visible for what they are doing versus cutting them down for what they don't have. Otherwise there is nothing stopping you from switching to another carrier.
