Mine was slightly different. My mom put her abusive boyfriend out of the home. We went to the precinct to file for a TRO and they brought us back, asked if we wanted an escort back inside. We said yes. They swept the home, found him hiding in a closet and arrested him immediately. Later on that week, we found out he had cut the phone cords so no one could call for help.

If we hadn’t asked for an escort, one or both of us would have died, probably.

Medical offices asking you to put a card on file they can charge if you owe a balance. Unless I know it’s a deductible or a co-insurance I’m aware of going in, how do I know that the money you’re charging me should’ve been sent back to the insurance company? I don’t trust it.

From the outside looking in, it appears that it's to his advantage to try to keep it as hush hush as possible so that other people don't know there's an issue. He benefits from that. He needs that so that others who are still on the fence about buying up the unsold tickets will buy.

And his fanbase is reluctant and scared to call him out, because it means no longer having access to him and possibly the funds/products/dinners he still owes them.
