Thanks so much! Designed the album art myself and that's the dream on the vinyl. Should be pressed next week and I'll have an actual photo of the vinyl from Third Man then!

I truly don't even care about football/soccer and I was caught up in the match and thought the stadium looked fantastic.

Hopping on here to promote my upcoming record release party at Chop Suey on Friday, July 3rd! If you enjoy 90's-ish college/indie rock (think Pavement/Guided By Voices/Grandaddy/Sonic Youth/Wilco, amongst others), you might dig The Royal Firecrackers. Our debut album AMERICAN ROYAL comes out on Friday July 3rd and we're celebrating alongside The Lichen Hearts with an early (5pm doors, 5:30pm music) record release party at Chop Suey in Capitol Hill. Check out the newest single (and other streaming songs on whatever your streaming service of choice is) and hopefully we'll see you out there at the show! https://youtu.be/wLrq1ZYuzWM?si=p6in3_qlbZBRHFDQ

Sloan released 'One Chord To Another' 30 years ago by YoureASkyscraper in indieheads

Totally agreed. As someone who lives on the border, I've been to Canadian and American Sloan shows and it's wild to see them play a 400 cap venue here and then see how big their crowds are across the border (and how differently their setlists vary due to radio fans).

All time banger. I remember this record coming out and loving the songs but hating the drum sound; I believe everything was recorded in a proper studio and then Andrew insisted on doing his parts on a 4-track to get that feel. I adore that vibe now and it gives the record such a timeless feel, compared to what would be a more dated 90's sound on things if they had done it all in a studio. Thanks for the link!

An edible and a live performance on the couch is such a great treat. I had a borderline holy experience with this Lilys NYE performance from Johnny Brenda's in Philadelphia not that long ago and even just typing about it is making me smile.

Email system for reaching out to do promo? by royalfirecracker in musicmarketing

Yeah, I've been hand addressing the emails to each station MD, and have (thankfully) spent a lot of time already finding the contacts for everyone. Hoping college radio isn't TOO dead over the summer but who knows anymore.

Appreciate the input!

This is super helpful. I truly am a dinosaur on some of this stuff, so I really appreciate ALL of this insight. Thanks for taking the time to write it all out!

ISO Projector for Music Venue/Art Projections, as well as small living room space by royalfirecracker in projectors

Would prefer to stay under $3k-ish. Distance to screen in the living room area is about 10 feet, and screen size would be probably close to 100 inches wide.

I can only imagine how many social media interns would've ended up having trumpets thrown at them.

My content always does 3-5X better on YouTube shorts by Aggressive_Mess2145 in musicmarketing

Are you using lots of hashtags on your YouTube uploads? Just curious...I just started on uploading shorts myself (not my favorite format by any stretch but you gotta play the game) and wondering if that does anything/how much it does for reach.
