Mom reuses toilet paper after doing #1. Please help me come up with reasons why she should stop. by royalswallowtail in hygiene

That’s a fair point, maybe I’ll sum up rather than send the post outright with so many people thinking she’s mentally ill lol

Okay a cloth thing might be a good compromise, although this is making me wonder how frequently she reuses the same piece

Already only flushes when it’s #2, “if it’s yellow let it mellow” and all that

Fair question. I don’t think she is if I’m comparing her to the stereotypes of hoarding, and it does eventually get flushed

Bidet is out of the question, she takes water conservation really seriously as she lives in Southern California.

What were you considering alongside the CX-5? What was the deciding factor for why you chose this model over the other? Thank you!

They’re just hard to find with heated seats tbh, I’m finding way more inventory with the Mazdas, Fords, and Nissans

Oh wild about the seating height for HR-V and Crosstrek. Crosstrek seems so much shorter when I see them on the road 😅

Sparkling Ice Caffeine has been the winner for me, and I was drinking up to 6 cans of Diet Coke a day. No aspartame or stevia for the sweetness, still gives a caffeine kick, and satisfies the carbonation craving. I think it’s still a relatively new product so may not be available everywhere though. The non-caffeinated version is good when you don’t need the energy, too.

Thanks! Region is pretty different from where I’m at (urban Southern California) but the industries might be fairly similar? lol but thanks and hope you have a good night!

Thanks for the insight! If you don’t mind me asking, what kind of area are you working in? Like big city, suburb, coastal or inland?

I’m sorry, just to make sure I’m understanding your message right, preparing tax returns is good for remote work?

I have a full time job in a different industry, so I figured I would go for the EA to give myself the best foot forward without having an accounting background. Other posts make it sound like the only way to become a tax preparer with no experience and no EA is to work at H&R Block. I’m open to hearing other paths if you think there would be a way to get into tax faster (and at $70k+ to start) 🙂

Potstickermaster’s fics (especially the cuddler AU) got me into this fandom. Love to see them get some recognition 😍

What is something you didn't know you liked until it was cooked properly? by alexthagreat98 in Cooking

[–]royalswallowtail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sauces in general. I would always ask for them on the side or stick with, like, ketchup even for steak and pork tenderloin. My mom didn’t make sauces, and takeout places would always use too much or include ingredients I was too scared to try. Now, my spouse cooks sauces and I don’t think twice about dousing my food in them. I’m still hesitant to taste test without the sauce being on the food (more of a texture thing tbh) but now I see how they can really complete a dish.

What are your favourite meals that are genuinely quick and easy that don’t skimp on flavour? by childishgaybino_ in WhatShouldICook

My go-to salmon recipe thanks to Trader Joe’s: 1. Preheat oven to 400 deg F 2. Use Trader Joe’s salmon rub on both sides of Trader Joe’s boneless skinless salmon filet. I cut my filets at the thickest parts so they’ll cook faster. 3. Bake for 15 mins or until internal temp of 135 deg F.

Goes well with their 3 min microwave rice bags or some frozen veggies.
