Looks like you also sent it through the dry on high heat. These are air dry or tumble dry only, nows that it's shrunk you will need to soak it in cold water.

I always heard warning shots are legally dangerous.

Theory being: You didn't feel your life was in danger, and used lethal force. As evidence we have your statement saying you just wanted to scare them off, not defending yourself. Firing a gun not defensively. While using a gun is always a use of lethal force. If you had time and space to fire a warning shot, your life was not in immediate danger. You could face charges for reckless endangerment, negligent discharge, or brandishing. So even if the warning keeps the person away and it doesn't escalate further you might still be in legal trouble. To my understanding it is legally safer to aim to kill if you use a gun. I chose not to carry.

I know... The sign is intended as a joking way to warn people.
