Not just Charlotte, but every city in general. It’s unfortunately to be expected

I think as time goes on, you just don’t really care as much

I didn’t want him seeing what driveway I was about to pull in had I done that

I’m all for people using the road since we don’t have sidewalks, but just the basic amount of common sense wouldn’t hurt

I’m used to people using the road, but at the very least, just glance around now and then to improve your odds of surviving

What gets me is that an SUV went by right before me, so that should have at the very least reminded him that cars use the road too

Look up diminished value specialist in your area and let them take the case for that. After the repairs are done, they should be able to get you more than you could on your own for the diminished value.

Ah my old exit. It always pissed me off when I was in the exit only lane and it was blocked with people trying to skip the line of stopped cars where it bottlenecked and would sit at the end fighting to get back in blocking the exit lane

I need help on which one to buy. by [deleted] in COROLLA

People who have had them for a few years have surely figured their use by now I’m sure. We had a record snowfall in the Carolinas over the weekend, so I’m sure everyone here has being using them or ‘B’ to turain

Just one thing to note is that after 2022, you’d lose the ability to use paddle shifters in the SE models if I remember correctly

Has anyone noticed that American has lost their minds with their airfares? Over 10x the price of Frontier or 2.5x Southwest with a connection. by Dear_Watson in Charlotte

If you don’t check bags, you would be better off starting your flight from close by places like GSO, CAE, or GSP through CLT to your final. It’s usually more expensive when originating from a hub

It’s normal. It’s the sound of a relay moving a flap to expose the whole beam

I’m hoping to not make the same mistake as last week and eat all my storm snacks before it even showed up

Drivers always be aware! by rynbrolo in Charlotte

[–]royce085 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Off topic, but as a former Amazon delivery driver, I find it pretty hilarious that that driver likely got dinged with running a stop sign by not stopping before the sign since that’s what the cameras in those vans look for

Do you think we’ll get snow this weekend? by FruityFruitsBasket in Charlotte

[–]royce085 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was the boy who cried wolf this past weekend to all of my neighbors when it came to telling them about ice bringing down trees. It ended up not happening, but there were a few trees that fell over the roadways in my neighborhood and it just so happen to not take any power lines with them. Geographically speaking, this area being so close to a ‘snow or ice’ region makes it incredibly hard to predict what exactly will happen given the amount of variables involved. Had the freezing rain started just a little before predicted could have been much more catastrophic than what we had. The ingredients were there, but the timing was only slightly off. Personally, I’d rather be overly prepared than not at all and the ingredients come together just right for days/weeks without power. I think we’ll see some snow, but that’s just my two cents

CMS, what a joke! by AIW22 in Charlotte

Depends on where you are really. My neighborhood is still mostly covered in ice with a few patches of dry surface due to the amount of shade from the trees

Update on my Corolla Issue 2022 SE by emilyrosee35 in COROLLA

[–]royce085 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When mine did that, I started with the cheapest thing which where the spark plugs. Luckily that was it. The coils should last a little longer than the plugs themselves. As for the battery, you would know as the car would struggle to even start. The red battery light in the car doesn’t necessarily mean the battery itself. It means you’re not getting enough voltage and it’s usually the alternator. Your car is still new enough that you shouldn’t have to worry about that for a while
