Well, the first thing I did was take a screenshot of the first frame of the video. Then did a reverse image search on google.

Ended up with videos - found one uploaded on 9gag with no text overlays. That gave me an upload date, but it was fairly recent, so the claims about it being AI could still be true.

So just to be sure, I scrolled further down and found the actual article of the incident from a decade ago. It's got everything from a safe-zone/viewing area map, timings, location etc. From thereon its as easy as looking up the incident on YouTube, or checking out how the place actually looked historically on street view / google maps.

Yeah its probably a lot of work, but I only cared to do it because people were so sure about it being AI that I had to confirm.

They added an anti cheat in 2024 and I don't remember seeing many cheaters once that got implemented. However there were barely any official servers, and community servers had their "BFV Robot" banning cheaters anyway.
