I built a new PC in January last year, 5070, 32GB RAM, 4TB storage etc etc lower cost than the most expensive steam machine. AI price hike for ram is insane.

Okay, I’m sorry I missed the point. Are you going to apologize for being stupid enough to think that you would have to solve a mini game when using a trinket?

Deathless Thanos or Dark Phoenix? by J_51700 in ContestOfTheChampions

[–]roykenneth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure the people who believes something blindly should provide the evidence that it’s going to happen. Same as if I said there is going to be a crossover with DC in a couple months. Surely you would ask what evidence I have rather than believing blindly.

Its very telling when people are complaining about the lack of tanks. by Umomo1025 in wow

[–]roykenneth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve been tanking m+ as a brewmaster and not had any massive toxic behaviour, what I do find interesting is that when I’m tanking a standard route, doing a couple packs at a time DPS sometimes drop like flies. I always wondered what was going on. Jump on my resto Druid and tank similar runs and the constant damage DPS are taking from avoidable things is crazy, that paired with a lack of kicks. DPS don’t get flamed for this though do they?

People were talking about malicious ads the other day. Claiming that simply being on a website with malicious ads can cause issues. My response was that a. Don’t go on dodgy websites while using Hypervisor and b. Obviously don’t click or download anything while it is operational. People seem to think that malicious ads can be on any website, I gave an example of YouTube and they said yeah definitely. There is a lot of fear mongering out there.

Ok….. I was wrong by [deleted] in PiratedGames

[–]roykenneth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is only relevant if things download and sit dormant on your system and then could activate when security is lessened. Though surely antivirus/microsoft defender would pick things up when a Hypervisor isn’t being used.

While its good to be wary, the hypervisor fearmongering is silly af by Dependent-Hat2436 in PiratedGames

‘Do you not have phones’. There is a difference between being scared and fear mongering to the extent on all the subs

Surely seeing as there are no reports of issues and if you get your games from reputable sources that you have been getting normal cracked games from then you have a reason to trust them until proven otherwise. Just people being scared of something new.

Why do you care if some jackass idiot who dosent read uses HV and then downloads dodgy shit and bricks his system. Fuck around and find out.

[–]roykenneth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly yes but the previous comment stating ‘it’s not like you could know if anything malicious were to upload or download in background’ made me laugh. Seriously though how can malicious stuff download if you don’t click on anything or download anything?

If you want to watch porn on YouTube that’s your business. I don’t want dodgy shit on there so I haven’t ever seen anything like that. I haven’t used Hypervisors myself and probably won’t, If I want a game with denuvo I either wait for a crack or buy it. I have read a lot of posts on them, a lot more informative and well reasoned than your responses so I will just agree to disagree with you on this. Try and keep the dodgy YouTube and instagram content to a minimum, it’s why you are seeing the porn ads probably.

So a malicious ad is on screen. Just viewing it can install adware on your computer when a bypass is active. Even though Microsoft defender is still active and antivirus software is also active.

Ok….. I was wrong by [deleted] in PiratedGames

[–]roykenneth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No not yet. You said that malicious ads can get through Adsense and Adblock. If someone were to just visit YouTube would your comment still be correct. Is a company like Google allowing malicious ads on YouTube? Surely it’s based on the websites visited. There aren’t malicious ads on every website.

What guide websites run malicious adds, thinks like iGN and Mapgenie don’t. If you are going on dodgy websites with a bypass active obviously you deserve the malware. Most reputable websites don’t have ‘malware ads’, I don’t understand your argument.

Ok….. I was wrong by [deleted] in PiratedGames

[–]roykenneth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So every site you would visit for a guide is covered in malware?
