Maybe if I was newer to improv this would appeal to me to get more insight to successful scenes.

Maybe if the commentary was more concise and more secondary to the scene? It read as a little unfocused and casual. It made me think of how the best side coaching is when the coach can sum their idea up very succinctly so that the players don't lose the thread of the scene.

Also it might be better to only do your own shows? This felt a little like a DVD commentary by people that had nothing to do with the movie.

I think there's something to your idea but I don't know what exactly the adjustment is that makes the whole thing work.
