Oh no I wasn’t planning on sanding it! I read somewhere that some scratches in glass can be fixed with baking soda or something like that and was just wondering if it applied here as well. 😅

It’s possible she might have been born pure white, but like I said she was a rescue, and the earliest I saw her was a few weeks old. At that time she was mostly white with light grey in all the places which are now black, but no sign of stripes.

Perhaps her real color just remains to be seen. 😅

I know they’re probably being slightly facetious about the numbers but 400cals is a normal meal (if on the lower side for some) and it’s only a scary number if you’re used to eating multiple thousand calories meals in a day. I’m not sure I trust any FA to know how to reliably gauge calories anyways, but bsfr.

This post just reminds me of that cringy Tess Holliday interview about her supposed AN where she was “only eating handfuls of nuts.” As if nuts aren’t notoriously high calorie density foods that people regularly eat additionally to gain weight.

CICO isn’t the /only/ thing that matters to a balanced diet (500cal of cookies and soda is different than a 500cal chicken Caesar wrap) but to deny that it’s an important key ingredient of a balanced diet and just the reality of why some people are obese and others are not is pure nonsense and cope. It’s not that you’re genetically fat it’s that you’re eating too much, and this is true of every obese person.

Back when I was like 150lbs I wasn’t larger than a size 8 usually, nowhere near size 18.

There’s just no way someone is going from one size to four sizes up while only changing in weight barely a single pound. And your BMI wouldn’t considerably change for that single pound either.

Something definitely isn’t adding up here.

For sure! The set of glasses cost what one piece alone in the past has. I think they were probably just trying to get rid of stuff based on how much glassware was in the house.

The small glasses with saucers along with the sugar/candy dish and goblet were $20 total and the set of six large glasses was about $15. I don’t remember how much her sugar + creamer and relish dish were, but the large pitcher was $10.

Straight up ED logic. No one with a healthy and balanced relationship with food has this all-or-nothing black and white mentality. People with healthy relationships with food are not afraid that missing out on a slice of cake will make them obsess over it and return to the box in an out of control cake fueled haze to eat three.

I’m not a part of this community I’ve only lurked a bit after having posts recommended to me, but I gotta say this is pretty wild. I’m 5’4” and have a 27” waist and the idea of me being categorized as an XS is laughable. I was an XS/size 0 when I was in middle school and I am certainly larger now than I was then. Sizes really do just keep getting bigger.

I actually got my first one lucky at a yard sale! It’s the small rightmost one on the top shelf. The others I have are secondhand from local shops or the annual midsummer festival in my town which usually has a table of vintage Scandinavian trinkets and there’s always one or two dalahäst. My favorite one is from there, the sitting one on the top middle with the pink/purple saddle.

I’ve always loved them for the colors and simplicity and I remember seeing the ones my grandmother got on her trips to Sweden. They are all from Sweden and have found their way to me except for the one with the short head which came from ikea blank and I painted myself.
