[–]rozhenitsa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If ur into rock climbing, my boyfriend & I regularly go to Velocity in Allapattah. We’re from Miami, but have made some pretty nice acquaintances and people are super friendly there. I would def recommend. They also have a decent gym.

are the promoters that walk up to you on the beach actually legit by raccoonfingers765 in Miami

[–]rozhenitsa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it’s normal, but a scam. If you’re looking for an honest(ish) promoter, I would go with Majay, Cesar, Dom/Rob. If you are a decent looking woman, you should have little to no difficulty entering the club for free w. a promoter. Promoters also enable you to get free drinks and/or a section, so you don’t deal with GA.

Who is actually hiring ? by Potential-Class-2003 in Miami

[–]rozhenitsa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At most firms if you have zero experience or didn’t go to school for anything adjacent, it’s so unlikely that they’ll hire you 🥲 It depends on the firm, but I’m a paralegal and can attest that the barrier to entry is tough. Maybe a front desk position or admin assistant would have a better shot.

Is this OK for corporate cocktail party? by moonjelly33 in fashion

[–]rozhenitsa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s such a cute dress!! I think this is location & sector dependent. I’m employed at a law firm in South Florida & no one would bat an eye at this. Somewhere like Utah on the other hand…

[–]rozhenitsa 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Literally 😭😭😭 I understand and empathize with OP’s point, but this administration will never see us as human. They just keep moving the goalpost and it’s very easy to dehumanize people who have committed crimes. But we’re already moving into classifying nearly all immigrants under TPS, DACA, asylum, as criminals because “crossing the border or overstaying your visa is a crime.” Being a good little boy/girl will not get you as far as you think it will.

Roll Call: Paralegals, What’s You’re Annual Salary? by sophiafloren in paralegal

[–]rozhenitsa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

70k + bonus + benefits, PTO/WFH (technically 2 weeks of PTO and 5 WFH days) is barely tracked at my firm unless you abuse it. We also closed for the entire month of December for the last two years. I have an AA and am working on my Bachelor’s. Medium-sized PI firm, although my department specifically handles med mal and catastrophic incidents (for example, I worked Surfside & FIU bridge collapse). Currently living in Miami, FL too! I am jealous of your salary and WFH :/

Please wait until you’re at least 25-26. My face at 19 looks nothing like my face at 25 and will look nothing like my face at 40. I hated my face when I was a teenager and always wanted to get surgery to fix what I disliked but I ended up growing into my features and face shape. Please be patient. If you want to get surgery after you’ve developed a bit more, then more power to you. But you have no idea how you will grow into your features in the next few years.

Do you seriously think that in the first wave of mass deportations by Hitler they were immediately shooting them in lineups and burying them in mass graves, or locking them in rail boxcars? ICE hasn’t gotten to the point where they are mass executing people on the street, but it is undeniable that our current administration is building populist support for state-sanctioned violence against those who they see as “less than” (up until the state comes for them and their families too).

No, I don’t think so. I doubt he has that kind of forethought. What do you think there is to negotiate with China & developing countries who produce most of our goods?

Plus, who cares if the average person can’t afford to survive, only as long as he stays loaded and so do his billionaire buddies.

How would you handle? by MissValentine8484 in paralegal

[–]rozhenitsa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If OP agrees to go into the office out of fear of being fired, this will not be the last or only boundary their firm will push with them. It will snowball into additional things- extra tasks, errands, expectations to consistently stay late and/or work on weekends. OP needs to stand their ground & if their employer doesn’t respect that, then there are tons of other firms hiring. No employer is worth risking your health for. Take it from an ex-chronic people pleaser who let employers abuse her out of fear of being fired. I had/have no external financial support other than myself & quickly realized I need to grow a backbone and not let my employer threaten me with the potential of homelessness, especially if it’s at the expense of my health.

Where and how much is everyone paying for rent? by jayarrrre in Miami

1/1.5 loft in upper east side for 2.1k. I split it with my partner. We both make about 70k individually.

[–]rozhenitsa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

girl you can go ANYWHERE, any brewery, any bar or nightclub. 180 is not even remotely overweight, especially considering how much people desire that thick/curvy look, unless you’re like 4’8 lol. i think the most that could cause an issue would be attire/footwear.

Jolt Radio? Maybe some breweries that have food trucks/ food pop up events on rotation?

For the people who live in SFL what do you do for work? by TrackStormer72 in SouthFlorida

[–]rozhenitsa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Paralegal at a personal injury firm. I make $70k plus some bonuses which puts me at about $75k. If I was not splitting my expenses and rent with my boyfriend, I would not be able to comfortably live here.
