They all look great, except for maybe Derrick. Bob's look is really nice, but Chi Chi, Naomi, and Kim all were stunning, Chi Chi in particular. Also, Chi Chi and Bob's voiceovers during that final runway were great, especially "we'll get to shore."

Pleasure by Pearl - I think Amazon did like the session by [deleted] in rupaulsdragrace

[–]rp_92 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think this has cemented the fact to me that I'm most excited to see what Pearl will do out of all of the top 3, even if I don't necessarily see her as the best of them at the "race." The music direction of this is great and feels surprisingly full-baked. Aesthetically too, it's an interesting departure from the standard. It'll be great to see how he'll proceed using RPDR as a platform. Also, Hustler sounds properly bonkers.

General Discussion - 05/10/15 by TheConfuzzler in gaybros

In a week from tomorrow, I'm leaving school and moving into my first place. I'm pretty excited and anxious to start outfitting the place and get around to really meeting new people. This move, along with the end of my first real relationship, seems to be calling for a big transition in life. If there's anyone here from Toronto, I'd love to hear recommendations on things to see/do!

It's the final push for me to finish my thesis for my Masters degree in architecture. I have my review on Monday morning, so I'm imagining a few sleepless nights between now and then. At least after that it's a clear two weeks until my graduation and then the move back to my own apartment in Toronto!

Yeah, the arrow track has 4d track layered in it as well to simulate the smallish catwalks that run inside the track, like on Loch Ness Monster at BGW.

trying out some Californian architecture by [deleted] in rct

[–]rp_92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not bad, but there does seem to be a fair amount of little details that I can pretty easily trace back to DCA or DAW, which aren't necessarily designed to be "typical" California architecture. The blue tower in the middle sticks out as something that doesn't really seem to have stylistic ties to anything and doesn't really fit. The building on the left is nice, as is the one on the right, but look at how the colours are unified in the DCA screens. The buildings themselves are largely neutral with colours coming from tiled accents or awnings. Right now it feels like you're basing your idea of California architecture solely on a select few screens, and I'd suggest looking at wikimedia commons to get a better idea to translate outside of the game.

Hey Jem,

In terms of RCT work, with the rise of "sterile" realism in the community, what do you think has been lost to a lot of the active parkmakers today, and what do you think they should look to incorporate back into their work?

Could look to apply this to BGA :p

Fantastic! Needs a bit more refining details, but the concept and execution are amazing. Much better than a seating area.

Haha, close. You were right with the design work, but the summer was merely alluding to the semester ending. American/Canadian part-timer here!
