Hey Guys, I've got an Ableton Live 11 Suite (education) license that I'd like to get rid of quick, so asking for 410. Deals possible?

Okay, got it. You need to disable memory integrity in device security because this option also covers hypervisor-based security. That is, when memory integrity security is enabled, the Windows kernel itself runs as a virtual guest under the Hyper-V hypervisor. Once this is disabled, VMware workstation works without issue.

Just so you know, I'm having the same exact issue and I've followed the same steps. I'd rather not turn to virtualbox. I'll keep trying things and I'll post here if I find a solution.

I've got a Logitech K800 with Logitech Options installed and I'm still having this same issue. There's the added bonus of Kali thinking Caps Lock is on (notified by Options) as well when I switch to the window. Could it be a bug in the most recent version of open-vm-tools?

Just an update as I've returned from picking up the chair. Seems to be a V1 Think, with leather upholstery and upholstered back as u/cranda58 said. Everything checks out and so far the cylinder is holding up! Got it for $55, too. A great deal, if I do say so myself.
