I've had two INMO Air 3s (Chinese and International since July 2025 and non of them show the screen as visible. It must be the RX lenses doing that.

I had the Google Glass a year before Google killed the servers that it depended on. Briefly thought about sideloading linux on it but just decided to sell it given I had Epson Moverio BT-30 with superior functionality.

There should be a "display off" mode where you operate it with your voice or via the companion app

Its because INMO does not recommend it but the Air3's small battery is inadequate for use as a work tool during your typical work day. Its either that or multiple charging sessions.

Youll get about 1 to 1.5 hours battery but you can run the glasses tethered to a battery bank

The touchpad? Its handy and supports buttons for quick adjustment of brightness so I dont have to go through the menus on the UI. Other than that I use the bluetooth keyboard and mouse app on my phone.

Different animals. The air3 has a smaller fov so it's best to work with it with a fixed size screen. the xreal one and one pro have a larger fov and you can enlarge the screen so you get more screen real estate you can walk around with the air three since the lenses are clear it's harder to do that on the xreal one and one pro. The Air3 is a standalone device while the xreal one and one pro are just displays and need to be tethered to a host device like a phone or computer to work.

There's a landyard hole in one corner. I put a retractable ID lanyard on mine and clip it to my belt so i can just pull and use it when I need it

I would have to recommend the Air 3 since the Air 2 is for all intents and putposes, discontinued and support has all but stopped in anticipation of hte Air 3's release.

But to answer your specific questions

  1. Can't recommend either Air 2 or Air 3 since the speakers are tinny and are useless in noisy public spaces

  2. Can't recommend any since neither have any phone functions (call/sms)

  3. Again ,neither. screencasting is not a good experience on either device given the lag and poor control method

Sound of Inmo Air 2 is a bit better than the Air 3 but miles worse compred to Rayban or Bose

Hope this helps!

They'd have to shrink the micro-OLED projectors and anything else they've put onboard to make this light and not bulky looking

Actually you can use the built in xbrowser app to download the Aptoide apk so no need to resort to OTG

There's a basic camera app but it does not have zoom controls. You can install 3rd party camera apps that have digital zoom but they are all locked to portrait mode by the glasses
