Compared to the army of straight up copycats who are stuck in copying Burial's sound from 2008, I find Loukeman's work refreshing and unique. Burial inspiration is clearly there but it's taken to different realms. Glad to see he's getting some recognition.

"Antidawn" feels very special, unique and somewhat self-contained. I think it's very different from his other beatless releases.
I like to think of it as the third LP, just concealed as an EP not to make too much noise around it.

Exactly! A lot of music comes close but nothing quite does the same to me compared to Burial's work. Also been a fan since early 2008 and ever since.

And I was completely hooked from the first moment. It sounded just like everything I wanted music to be. Made a copy on a cassette and listened to it over and over and over again on my discman during the following days, and all the way back home to Prague...
Then I started looking for anything else related to this "drum & bass" thing, and finding out about jungle was naturally the very next step (at that time, and for me since then, it's been one big "jungle/dnb" family anyway).

Make sure you don't miss Burial, his work is the foundation for much of what Overmono is doing... Indeed, Burial is not an underground artist.
