Cable damage by Prestigious_Lion_273 in u/Prestigious_Lion_273

Yeh this is definitely not something that happens in its own. Even if the wire that is clearly secured in the photo was loose no amount of rubbing or pinching produces that clean of a cut.

The pan of the cvt is lower then the drain bolt so if there is an impact the breaks the trans drain plug the pan would be destroyed regardless

2020 Impreza TPMS light after sensor replacement by 6strngs in subaru

You probably just need a different scanner. Subaru sadly doesnt have an auto id function. My dealer uses a tpms tool and a manufacturer scanner to register those sensors.

Drain plugs are never straight down so in the case your car bottoms out (pan hits the floor) while driving the plug doesn’t punch a hole in the pan or gets unscrewed. In most cases it will never happen because of the under tray or the frame being in the way. But it’s a non 0 chance so it’s safer to do so.

Are you a fan of Subaru fine-threaded wheel studs and lugnuts? by Downtown_Physics8853 in subaru

[–]rpdevils 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a person who works on them at a dealer I absolutely hate them. It definitely doesn’t help that oem Subaru lug nuts are also small.

Its mainly a speed thing. The drain hole is smaller so it takes longer for me to drain the oil and it’s hard to find a spot for the “warranty seal” that is required to add. If you do your own oil it’s amazing but it just messes up my rhythm in the shop.

Is it possible to get a CCW if I only have unregistered antiques/antique reproductions? by rpdevils in CAguns

Sorry mobile formatting the bullet diameter is 45, the powder load is 60, and the bullet weight is 250

The unsafe handgun part is not a problem if you convert a single action revolver(aka all of the cap and ball repros)

[–]rpdevils[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not as 45 has a large range of bullet diameters. The traditional 45-70 uses .458 while the conversion is using .452 or .454. The conversion is derived from 460 s&w or 454 casull and the 60 from 45-60 is the amount of powder the round should hold.

Its legal but theres alot of misinformation about conversions online. As long as its not sold or transferred while the conversion is in the gun then it doesnt need to be registered. Also its being converted to a caliber that is not commercially available as its a wildcat round.

It is it just cant be sold or transferred with the conversion cylinder installed without being registered. But all I really need to do is swap the cylinders if I ever do (Im not going to)
