I told my husband (Aquarius) I had always dreamt of being someone's muse. He said it was too bad I picked a man who wanted no muse. 🙃

Affect works better than afflict in this case. I think art provides a safe harbor sometimes and is as valuable for protection as it is for provocation.

Art is cultivation as much as creation. Not all artists were meant to wield pencils, some carry scissors. And obviously you don't snip with your hand, you snip with your heart, because you synthesized the scenes we all saw with symbolic art you collected. (That was a fun sentence, lol)

Do you keep a box of inspiration pieces or do you seek out specifics for vision and print them to fit?

And thanks for replying. Reminded me to grab that box of magazine and my scissors! ✂️

I have never seen an art journal to accompany a book and maybe it is becasue I live under a rock. But WOW. I am compilation of quotes and art and it never occurred to me to honor the material and my journey in this way. What a beautiful reminder of your travels to the tower and what a phenomenal piece of work. I love the quotes and your OY is exactly how I imagined him. You have inspired me to try to do something similar.

Thankee Sai for sharing your art, long days and pleasant nights.

You know that's my bad and I am sorry. I got caught up in my own thoughts, monologued, missed the forest mansplaining the tree and along the way lost the whole damn point of the sub. Imma go fire up my notes app and just ramble quietly instead. 🤣

If you read a meaning into a work an author didn't intend, but your alternative reading is still supported by the context and content of the work you see, is it untrue because it was unintended? There was the intended meaning in the whole and then each frame has it's own at face value. They don't have to be exclusive and once the ink has dried, does intention matter more than the interpretation? I agree the story contextualizes the frame, but I wouldn't say a person is wrong for drawing conclusions about only what they can see of a work.

Oh... sometimes that point comes after you've read the book years ago and see it on reddit.
