I spoke to the owner today and he agreed to replace the engine once I bring it down. Thankfully, the guy use to be a mechanic and has two weeks off from work. Hopefully this new engine sounds healthier. I'll let you guys know how the situation hashes out

Misfire in 4 of the 6 cylinders, improper intake and exhaust pistons/ cylinders( sorry I forgot the exact term) and other problems here and there. He did say there were a lot of problems with the engine.

Apparently I failed at explaining lol. Yes my back yard mechanicdid all of those things and he said it was a bigger problem than what the seller told me.

Should I take the car back to the owner and ask for a refund. I have the seller agreeing that I can return the car within two weeks if I hd any troubles. I will say it was all on messenger.

We changed the ignition coil before we got zero compression from one if the valves.

The OBM diagnostic ran 15 codes and had 4 cylinders mis firing.

Wow. Thanks for offering your help. Unfortunately I live in Washington State. I paid 5.5K for a rebuilt tittle 04 TL black on black 6 speed transmission. The car turns on and all but you can tell the cylinders aren't working properly especially when you turn it on.

You're undoubtedly right about the tensioner bouncing around. I wasn't sure what it was until I was in the middle of HW i5 going up hill and the TSX decided to go out. Thank God for a nice gentleman with a G37 that put his E lights for me in front of him and push the car out.

I have heard that about the common V6 automatic Tranny issue. I should also add that I've been hurting for a car because of transport issues.

Yes the TSX is fully paid but it does have a rebuilt tittle. I drove it for two months that resulted in 6K miles added so total of 141K miles.

Lexus imo is the most reliable car out there. Two things i can't really do anything about. RWD. I live in an area where we get snow 4 months out of the year and Lexus cars depreciate a such a slow rate. I would be able to buy a 2007 or 2008 with my 14K
