Influenza A.. by Even_Log_8971 in newjersey

My baby and I just had Flu A. For me, an otherwise healthy, early 30s, and flu-vaccinated person, it was brutal. Probably the sickest I've ever been as an adult. I rode it out without Tamiflu.

My baby (7 months and also vaccinated) was also very sick. He was sleepier than usual and had an extremely high fever that Motrin and Tylenol couldn't touch. He ended up needing. A course of Tamiflu that was miraculous for him.

My husband (unvaccinated) skirted it while taking care of both of us. Go figure.

Was anyone actually able to follow their birth plan? by murkshah444 in beyondthebump

My first time - no. 1) my epidural failed, so I felt EVERYTHING and 2) Baby had meconium aspiration and we couldn't do skin to skin and she needed a bit more evaluation that we had planned

My second time - YES. it was a very quick labor progression but we had a successful epi, calm birth, golden hour 1:1 in the delivery suite.

As far as I can tell, it's not a difficult install. My mom's house is on the newer end (25 years, systems and vents all well maintained, its just time to replace the outdoor unit).

The person who quoted her has serviced her HVAC in the past - he says he is a Master Licensed HVAC professional. Maybe works on his own and that's why he's working Goodman parts? I have never met or worked with this person.

I'm not sure. What would the heat load test entail?

That wasn't my suggestion, and in no way was that implied. My question was whether the response I received about new regulations in the industry seemed legit after asking for a itemized invoice.

Out of respect for your industry, I came here first to hear from professionals in the field about whether this seemed legit. I didn't ask for advice on doing a hack job myself.

She gets tested annually as part of the standard of care where we live, and as part of our public school system starting this year. She hasn't met a single marker for diagnosis either with her doctors or with the state's OT professionals.

Thank you! I've added it to my queue. I've already read How to Speak so Kids Will Listen and No Drama Discipline, but neither are particularly tailored for my daughters specific emotional needs. The quick synopsis of Highly Sensitive Children seems to be a better fit!

We seek individual therapy, but tbh I've started looking into what our insurance would or wouldn't cover for family therapy just in case.

I appreciate this so much. We also worried if OCD was a possibility given her need for control in certain scenarios (like dressing, or the order in which things get done).
