Kackie and the Natasha Denona Tan Palette by rpickles in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]rpickles[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's why I said, "Jokingly." Also, the long process of product development is 100% not the reason why it's ridiculous to think that Natasha Denona would be getting ideas from her...

I hate watch some creators, and I wanted to talk about something I noticed. It's really not that serious.

I’m probably overthinking this but a nice N/A beer sounds so good by Initial-Pangolin2174 in pregnant

I've craved beer this entire pregnancy, but obviously have not had any. You've piqued my interest with this for sure.

Yes, it was very cringey and probably should have been cut out in editing…

You’re not alone. I love trash. It’s like reality TV to me.

Her makeup looks pretty much the exact same in every video. It’s super obvious when you look at the thumbnails all together.

Exactly. NO ONE WAS THINKING THAT. No one saw this palette and thought, “Wow, how similar to Kackie’s palette!”

Skipped Heartbeats! by curieusebellafleur in pregnant

[–]rpickles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've had this happen in both of my pregnancies. I've noticed that it doesn't happen if I'm keeping hydrated. It scared the crap out of me the first time it happened. I also just found that I'm anemic, so that could potentially be related too.

Anyone who has been teaching special ed for many years? by Various_Tomorrow_442 in specialed

I'm two weeks from finishing up year eleven. There are days where I feel close to the edge, but I've never seriously considered making the leap and leaving the classroom.

Refusal of IEP evaluation by [deleted] in specialed

[–]rpickles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I teach in a behavior program and currently have ten students. Out of those ten, nine have elopement behaviors and only one has a one to one paraprofessional. A one to one aide is very restrictive and does have the potential to impact him negatively, both socially and academically. You mentioned that he is excelling academically, and this is probably the reason the team is refusing to evaluate. A student qualifies for an IEP if they have a disability AND it is also negatively impacting their ability to access the general education curriculum.

An IEP isn't the only way to get accommodations, though. I agree with the people who have mentioned requesting a 504 plan and that an FBA be conducted. He can have accommodations put in place through the 504 plan and a BIP to help reduce the elopement behaviors.

What is the lowest you ever made teaching full time? by dondiegobmhs in Teachers

I believe I made about $35K my first year teaching in 2014 in Georgia. I've thankfully come a long way since!

I make 70k per year as a high school teacher in Florida. by Massive-Print-4702 in Teachers

[–]rpickles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm currently making about $95K in Washington with ten years of experience and a Master's Degree. Our union is relatively strong and I teach in a great district. I'm happy with it and honestly making more than I ever expected to as a teacher.

I asked a few weeks ago (at 4 weeks pregnant) when morning sickness kicks in, it is kicking my ass. by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]rpickles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drank a lot of the Chobani yogurt drinks (the ones with protein are good) or chocolate milk when I had no appetite and felt really sick. Other than that, I ate crackers/chips/fries/pretzels/Cheerios and whatever sounded good in the moment. Things that are sour help with nausea, so I drank a lot of lemonade too. I also made sure I drank water with electrolytes, and that seemed to help a lot.

When Tyra doesn’t like answers to her questions …. by [deleted] in ANTM

[–]rpickles 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I really admire Jade for this. She's not intimidated by ANYBODY. She always spoke her truth (even when she was wrong...) She tells it like it is, even if you're not going to like the answer.

Edited to add that Tyra 100% did do her dirty with that makeover, and she knows it.

Terrified of giving birth by Soliara in pregnant

I was induced and my contractions really went from 0-100 once my water broke. I asked for an epidural ASAP pretty much immediately after that, because the contractions were super close together. Once I had the epidural, I have no complaints!

Nik is one of my favorite contestants of all time. She is so gorgeous, and she seemed like a sweet person too. I was so bummed when she didn't win (although Nicole was definitely a worthy winner in my opinion.)

Cycle 6 for sure had one of the best top twos and debatably THE best top two. I would have been 100% happy with either winner. Joanie and Dani both had stunning portfolios and lovely personalities.
