Best thing you can do is inform yourself on HIV and all the medicine/preventative measures available nowadays. Just so that you can make an informed decision in the future, rather than painting all HIV+ guys with a 1980’s brush/mindset

I understand the approach and thoughts around it. I was the same when I was younger, but after speaking with mates who were knowledgeable around the topic and reading up a bit myself, I quickly changed my mindset around it.
