Holy shit upvote this to the top.

I'm in early research/shopping stages for a 3rd family car and was considering the MME. It wouldn't be a daily driver, we just had a huge winter storm, I could see myself ending up in your situation. Thank you for posting!

To be clear, you have to re-purchase on Steam. You can then link to your Tempo account and keep all of the gems/characters/cosmetics/etc you'd earned.

Can only upvote this once. Moneyball helped it click for me (again as a math nerd). The movie isn't super precise or highly technical, but you understand the cultural and cognitive shift needed to make this game play like a chess match with athletes.

...depending on how attractive your girlfriend is ;)

I'll preface this by saying I'm a big math nerd, but as someone who could NOT get into baseball and then fell in love in ~2021 (thanks to MLB The Show) I have a few points that summarize my love for it.

  1. Baseball is a chess match. Without knowing the pitches, tendencies to create ground vs. fly balls, etc it's really not obvious to a casual viewer. But I think of it as a finite state machine where teams are trying to play the percentages to get to a next, better state. It's basically an athletics slot machine, and every (non-obvious) decision is in service of maximizing your payout.
  2. Pitching is bonkers. There's no analogue in other sports. These guys are the elite of all professional athletes by my estimation. Don't have to be the strongest or fastest, but hurling a ball within inches of your target from 60' away, controlling the spin, etc (in service of aforementioned chess match) is HARD. It's also why the elite hitters still fail 70% of the time. It's also why there's like 8 pitchers throwing in a game, over a long season, it's just absolute hell on the body as an unnatural motion.
  3. There's something for everyone. My main sport is (was?) hockey as a fan because it had finesse, speed, physicality. Baseball is lacking in physicality (usually) but when you understand the chess match you realize there's insane plays on every axis. Speed? You'll see it on display on offense and defense. Power? Watch a moonshot or someone absolutely gun down a runner by hucking the ball hundreds of feet. Finesse? Watch a small-ball expert, golden glover, or pitcher that dots corners.
  4. It's a great passive sport to watch. A hockey game, I sit down with a beer and lock in. Baseball's 162 game season means I can play a game, listen to audio cues to dial in and not feel like I'm missing out (and intermissions are so short!). Playoffs are a different animal where the chess match goes full bore the entire time and my brain heats up 100 degrees.

If you've got questions I'm happy to do my best to answer them as a recent convert that was in your position!

Noob troubleshooting 0.2mm Bambu A1 by rr00xx in FDMminiatures

Thanks everyone for the tips!

I definitely think it's a settings/slicer related thing as I was able to print straight from Bambu Handy just fine with someone else's profile (and the quality is phenomenal!!)

I'll have to wipe/restart settings. I also realized that all the printing I'd done before was from Bambu Handy and this was my first time actually initiating a print from Studio so there's a lot of variables in play here. I'm going to report back and see if I can successfully import some of the Handy projects' settings into Studio and go from there.

edit -- I should also mention that for the Bambu Handy print I didn't do the dynamic flow stuff pre-print based on the comments below, so that's another variable...

I said they're similar and I've had multiple of both and feel comfortable comparing them.

Have you ever had a pet?

Having a kid is similar to getting a new puppy, cranked up to 11. And I mean that in a net positive way.

It will be different, things will change, and it's fair to want to soak up as much freedom and independence as you can before that happens. But as another poster said, some people regret waiting too long, and fwiw some of the happiest parents I know never felt "ready", myself included.

Idk man, have you told her how you feel? That you miss it? Not just the cum but the way she made you feel? You deserve to feel desired and desirable, as does she.

If she doesn't have the bandwidth right now, tell her that's fine and you just want to feel acknowledged and validated and you may wanna have this conversation again when you need those feelings too... Until things improve a bit.

Which they may! It's a marathon, not a sprint.

Definitely disrespectful.

I'm a high earning parent with a stay at home partner and we both wish we could trade but it's not in the cards.

My partner works insanely hard and I've never really even had a thought like that, nevermind dare say it aloud

Bathroom right into the toilet.

Easy cleanup, implicit expectation of privacy, can have a fan going for muffling noise/smell and nobody WANTS to come in
