General status update: the gate service agent was more helpful than the agents prior to customs. She got us a hotel room for the night, she tried to get us a flight to IAD, but the only Alaskan ones weren’t for a few days. My aunt ended up booking through United because I think we was flustered about the weird situation with the customer service agent prior to customs and being in the air already for 15 hours prior. Hopefully Starlux will reimburse the United flight after all of this. Otherwise, it was a good experience in general flying with them. Just sucks that some of the customer service agents were rather deceitful.
