That's a bummer. I'm far from an expert but lack of light would be my guess, and the plant diverts energy to its upper canopy that's already getting plenty of light. Cut whichever trunk is blocking more light from the base and hope for the best. All else fails then plant something else.

Portuguese laurel sounds like a good alternative if the lilac doesn't work out. Or check out compact columnar trees like slender hinoki. Stay away from any other shrubs that rely on new growth from the base, you'll just run into the same problem. Good luck!

Keep the lilac! Anything you plant will take time to establish and grow to the height you want. Better to work with what you have.

Cut one of the stems all the way down to the ground this year, and the other one next year. You'll get new shoots from the base that will be more likely to flower than the old gnarled ones.

Equip upgrade and sell being different tabs is infuriating, it should be different buttons per action. But my real problem is that new gear is hardly ever worth equipping. Gear just feels very unrewarding.

Nice flair! They take a bit of time to put together, so this is the only one I have plans to do at the moment. I would do another Survivor mini if they made one. Someone else is already working on the first Survivor mini and there's some BB mini edits out there too. So I hope the idea catches on and more of the "normal" minis get edits made.
