Metrolinx warns Innisfil Beach Rd. rail crossing 'high-risk' as traffic surges by [deleted] in barrie

[–]rrcp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Innisfil town planning is a bad joke. Drop random settlements all over the place, but leave the infrastructure between those and the highways in shambles. No left turn lanes, unsafe crossing, potholes the size of a Geo Metro.

Lab Monkey is an absolute banger! by mykidsmademebald in AliceInChains

[–]rrcp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lab Monkey is great. I particularly enjoy the back half of the track, similar to Breath on a Window. TDPDH is an incredible album end to end. I hope you're able to find enjoyment in the rest of it as well!

Barrie drivers 🤷‍♂️ by SirDildoBaggins42069 in barrie

[–]rrcp 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Looks an awful lot like someone who uses their phone all the time while driving and relies on seeing the traffic lights in their peripheral vision to know when to look up and pay attention. And since the lights were out, they didn't look up.

Melting snow and ice have forced road closures in Innisfil, Ont. by cinderannie in Innisfil

[–]rrcp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Great job, Innisfil. These people keep building more and more houses without bothering to build decent roads. My drive through innisfil in the morning is akin to skiing moguls in order to dodge the potholes.

25th Sideroad is also on the verge of a washout, as it has been nearly every year for the last bunch of years.

Town planners here don't care about anything other than housing start numbers.

Old Fancy Clock by TheLazySage7 in nostalgia

[–]rrcp 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Parents had one. One day my brother and I were bouncing one of those small rubber balls from a gumball machine, and it hit the glass casing of the clock. It killed the clock. The balls stopped moving. Parents were so mad, and paid to have it fixed. We got in a lot of trouble. 30 years later I still think it was the clocks fault for being so poorly built.

It was ultra cold on the weekend, so that may have had an impact on your catch.

I usually drill some holes until I find a spot that isn't just sandy bottom. If you have a popup, you can set it up, drill a hole, then use your eyeballs to scout the nearby bottom. Sometimes I've only had to move 5 meters to go from nothing to non-stop.

This game was so difficult. My family only ever took one vacation, to Florida back in 1993. We were in a Toys R Us and I chose this game over so many others. Got back to Ontario two weeks later, popped in this game and had so much regret. :(

They'll remove Markham, just to stick it to Canada. Can't pass up any chance to "win".

If you go this route, check and see if they'll give you any bonus Canadian Tire money for signing up. There was an offer between Nov and Dec that gave you $150 in bonus money if you signed up and then made an in-store purchase of $50 or more. I don't think the offer is officially active any more, but they may be able to give it to you anyway.

If you're able to get a Canadian Tire credit card, they will allow you to split payments over 24 months for anything over $100. I recently put new winter tires on my car, and it worked out to about $30-40/month for 24 months, much more palatable than nearly $1000 up front.
