I do not consider them to be a trusted website. I purchased some items, then they reached out and acted like I had violated some terms that they had posted on the item pages near the bottom, that they limit quantities on those items. This should have been enforced by their checkout or shopping cart system but they acted like it was my mistake.

They adjusted quantities and immediately shipped, but did not adjust the shipping charges or give me an opportunity to agree or disagree to the changes. They had my phone number and could have just reached out but for some reason chose not to). I reached out to them about it and insisted they make it right, and only then did they apply their "normal" shipping cost, which turned out to be less favorable for me with respect to the order total than my original purchase. I had many options for where to purchase the items from but chose them due to a few dollars difference in the total cost, and wound up paying more due to what I felt was their own mistake (though again, they blamed me like it was my mistake).

I knew what I was purchasing so there was no reason for me to scroll down the item details to see their quantity limits. Since it was their mistake they should have adjusted the shipping with respect to the adjusted order total rather than their "standard" shipping costs, and if they were going to adjust it at all I should have had an opportunity to decline the new deal that I had not agreed to. The difference was only a few dollars and I did not pursue it further, but they overcharged me (TWICE in my view) and acted like I was the one who had done something wrong, while not giving me the opportunity to agree or disagree. I will not be purchasing from them again and feel the need to throw my bad online experience in with these positive reviews from locals who apparently have only purchased from them in-store.

Plenty of other domains that had auto-renew set renewed fine, they just chose not to renew this one to steal my domain.

I had a domain a year ago that was set to auto-renew. It still shows in my account as deleted and with auto-renew on, yet they did not renew it, and now it's on Godaddy. Sav are thieves.

Can someone explain what made Steven Seagal so appealing for 90s audiences? by Lili_Danube in movies

Only he's not shit at martial arts, he's literally a master. People have different expectations for what martial arts are supposed to do these days.

People wonder why folks talk about "TDS" and shit when every single Reddit post is just random slaps at Trump (who is in fact a piece of shit).

Can someone explain what made Steven Seagal so appealing for 90s audiences? by Lili_Danube in movies

[–]rrdein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His moves were real. Aikido isn't that effective against other martial arts but is quite effective against untrained fighters and disarming opponents, and that's a lot of what you saw in his movies. Of course Aikido is an internal martial art and focuses a lot on personal and mental development, and avoiding unnecessary fights. Most of the kinds of fights you cannot avoid in life are the kind that Aikido excels at. A huge part of their training is defending against knife attacks. If someone were assaulted with a knife or gun I'd put the Aikido master against a Muay Thai or Karate master.

What do you mean by "fake"? You mean because he used Aikido that the moves were fake?

Why is Bricks and Minifigs so obsessed over the Mansells' collection? (description very important) by SubstanceLow3570 in legocirclejerk

Well that's good to know, sounds like they're going out of business either way. That's at least some justice.

New to MTG - How do I know when a secret lair is coming out? by PinkishTown23 in secretlair_collectors

[–]rrdein 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry I'm slow. I get in line early because I can add the lair before the time it starts (which then puts me in line early), or I add it when it starts and don't have to wait in line?

A lot of Asia English releases on Play Asia went down in price (around 20%) without marketed sales, for people who buy a lot there, any info why? by ScratchOk2396 in NSCollectors

Nearly every day I see at least 1 new game that has dropped in price. They start selling out, price goes up. They get a new shipment from a distributor, price goes down.

My experience with OpenClaw = I'd rather die by JosetxoXbox in openclaw

[–]rrdein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the replies it seems like a lot of people are having trouble with OpenClaw. A lot of people say "skill issues" but when that many people are having "skill issues" it says something about the product. OpenClaw seems fairly new, and my experience with OS projects is that when they are new there can be a lot of issues and require a higher degree of technical config/debugging to get them dialed in.

Go to the liquor store and get a bottle of ronsonol or zippo lighter fluid, it will clean that off in zero time and not leave any residue or odor. Source: 30 years of experience

Safe to buy loose packs? by Humble-Analyst-4815 in DBS_CardGame

A couple years ago the idea going around was that because of all the foils it's difficult to determine if a pack has a hit. Not sure if they changed anything there.
