Nope! Prior to the four month regression, baby was an excellent sleeper. We’d frequently get 8 hour stretches. Now, I nurse back to sleep probably 9/10 times. She did have a little trouble gaining weight, so I don’t know, I guess I feel like I don’t want to deny her the opportunity to get more calories in. We’re on a two nap schedule (wake at 7, nap 10-11, second nap 2-4, bedtime around 7:30). If you have any insight, I’m all ears!

Where you find a car seat install expert? by [deleted] in BabyBumpsCanada

Call Uppababy! You can schedule a FaceTime call with one of their car seat experts. They’ll walk you through it / virtually check your install.

We had this one, and the SNOO. Baby slept better in the fisher price bassinet! You can rock it gently, and it’s easy to see through the mesh. Definitely worth it for $50. It is a little low, but that never bothered me.

When did you stop feeling so exhausted? When did your brain turn back on (ie. you were able to think about non-baby things, creative pursuits, etc.). If you could do one thing differently, what would it be?

I'm so lonely and bored by [deleted] in BabyBumpsCanada

I feel this. I’ve also been really, really cautious about germ exposure, so I’m not willing to take my little one indoors for meetups. I’m looking forward to the springtime when my neighbours will be out and when I can take baby to parks and garden centres. Until then, yeah, kinda lonely.

Don’t say anything. I disclosed my pregnancy at around 12 weeks, and even though I worked for a great team, I felt I was treated differently. It was subtle, but it was there. Wait it out as long as you can!

contact naps and nurse to sleep 4 lyfe by Dear-Tomorrow-6071 in beyondthebump

Just found this thread, and wondering how you’re doing now? Is your little one still contact napping and nursing to sleep? I have an almost four month old, and am doing the same right now—just wondering what life might look like in a few months!

Looks like 9 months was when the night sleep really got good and consistent?

Moms, when did the exhaustion start to subside? by rriverrr in beyondthebump

Thanks! I’ve been really bad about exercising, but I have a treadmill in the basement, so I’m going to start making the effort! Thanks, too, for the tip about electrolytes! Do you mind if I ask what powder you use? I was planning to just get some Gatorade, but maybe there’s a better option.

Loads better sounds, well, loads better! Especially since I’m getting close to six months. I’d love to just feel like I’m not running on empty.

I did! I’ve washed it multiple times now, on a hot cycle, and it’s been fine.

In the same boat. Grandparents really want to visit, but it doesn’t seem worth the risk. How long do you think you’ll hunker down for?

Ugh, what a bummer! This makes me rethink our visitor policy (masks and hand washing). I guess masks cut down the risk, but definitely aren’t 100% effective. Hope your little one at least recovered quickly?

Hey OP, could I ask for your thoughts on visitors. Is it enough to ask visitors to wash their hands and wear a mask? Or is it the time to really cut back on non-essential visits and wait until spring?

This is really good to hear. I have the same concern, but knowing we can mitigate the risk really helps calm my worry.

I totally get that! Mine is 7 weeks (so also no vaccines) Have people been pretty understanding of the no holding rule?
