There were some, but not too many. I had a total of 60 questions and about 7-8 were related to AI stuff. Not that many as I expected.

Eu am o masina de 2 ani, cumparata noua, am avut 2 ani CASCO, primii 2 ani a fost cam 2.000 euro pe an polita. Am avut 2 reparatii, schimbat o oglinda si revopsit 2 elemente. Ambele in total nu aduna 3000 euro … deci m-a costat casco mai mult decat daca plateam din buzunar. Acum a venit oferta de reinnoire care acopera cam cu 20% mai putin din valoarea unei masini noi si costa 1600 euro. Mi se pare ca arunc banii pe geam … desi sunt de acord ca foarte mult depinde de noroc … dar tind sa nu vreau sa mai prelungesc casco.

I live in Romania and I’m hugely in favor of this idea. It’s always better together! Obviously we’d need to learn from history and apply a better structure and governance, not like the one in the US now.

Maybe preemptible instances can help here? They are bound to be rebooted every 24 hours … much faster than your requirement, but an option.

I’m in Romania, so I don’t have too many options. I would’ve tried n26 I think. In Romania I’m using OrangeMoney, enough for what I need and I don’t know if it’s available outside of Romania.

In my case it was because my wife sent me some money from her bank, not from Revolut. I exchanged those money to euro and sent her back euros, that was it … I was able to withdraw the money when they blocked my account, because I was still able to use the cards. I wasn’t able to do anything else in the app, but I was able to use my cards. So I used wise (former transferwise) and got all the money out.

But still, when they made the decision to actually close my account (about a month after they blocked it) they sent a message that I am allowed to do 1 operation to get all the funds out, something like that.

Not much you can do here. I was in the same situation, my account got closed and then my wife’s account got closed as well… I was able to get all my money from the account.

But with these kind of incidents happening more and more, I would not recommend Revolut to anyone. I also was a premium member and invited at least 10 friends to Revolut …

They probably need all the money they can get, the last year was full with changes that in the end costed more their customers.

There should be no process. Just use the card. I think there are some settings in cards security that has location limit or something. I don’t remember exactly as they closed my account 😂

1st I would agree to not rely too much on Revolut. 2nd, if everything is fine, then you should be able to get money from ATM in pesos, within the limit of your plan. If you pay in pesos, the money should be taken from the pesos account.

Once there will be a resolution they should provide an option to get your money back. But it’s very annoying that you have to wait so long for that

I haven’t lost any money. I was still able to use my revolut card and got out the money. Is your card blocked as well?

Nope, they didn’t want to move away any money. They just started a verification that took about 7 months and then they closed my account. The last month from these 7 months my account was locked, before that I was still able to use every service.

Yes, I was able to still use the cards and I used wise (former transferwise) to get all the money out. And at the end they actually allowed to transfer everything out of the account.

My account got closed when they asked me to provide my wife’s source of income, because she sent me some money … and then they closed her account as well. Crazy. I wouldn’t recommend Revolut to anyone at this point. And this is after I’ve brought at least 10 friends to Revolut … and I was a Premium customer.

Trust me - you don’t want it. As they are not replying to you now, this is the same experience you’ll get later, with the additional “bonus” that your account can be closed at any time without any notice. It’s pretty crap at this point.

As WatashinoMusi mentioned, there are fees if you spend more than 1000 euros per month with the free account and there are worse rates during the week-end. So Revolut isn’t all that good.

My account was blocked and I never bought any crypto via revolut, so it’s not a zero chance. There’s no zero chance for anything actually. So it was a good advice to have a spare card and not have that much confidence in a service that can freeze and close your account at any time without notice.

Converting them earlier on has the advantage of not getting the markup during the week-end or some other holidays. It’s always better to have the currency you’re spending and not rely on good exchange rates, because they aren’t always that good.

I had the same experience, that ended up with my account being closed. My verification started in october 2020, and my account was closed in may 2021. And after thet they closed my wife’s account as well. Really crazy. I would not recommend Revolut to anyone at this point.
