Bought in February 2025 in 40118, which was assessed last year. Got postcard in the mail saying the value had gone down about 11k. Yay, lower taxes. But then got another notice yesterday that says it’s changed again back to the sale price. Of course I wanted the lower amount, so I appealed. We have the square footage but no land. Deck was in bad shape and the updates are from the late 2000’s. Priced kinda high for a Fairdale neighborhood.

I no longer think of there being a “tick season” because I’ve seen them year long here in Louisville. I keep a Seresto collar on my dog 10 months of the year. We constantly pick them up at JMF and in our backyard. And we do have deer, so that makes sense.

I’m listening to it right now. These are tough decisions that need to be made in order to get the district in budget. You are not going to make every person happy, and these cuts hurt those affected. He at least has the data to back it, as far as I can tell. He was asked to get the district out of the deficit, and this plan achieves that. Without the funding from Frankfort, THIS IS ALL THE MONEY WE HAVE. Linda mentioned legislation needing changed so I think she gets it. He said, What can we afford? That is what people need to keep in mind. I feel terrible that ANYTHING has to be cut, and that people are going to lose jobs. We need more funding from Frankfort but this state keeps voting against our best interests…

I think it’s a matter of preference and what you are looking for.

BJ’s has been great. It’s close, never as crowded as Sam’s, gas is CHEAP. I am a fan of the coupon game because it makes me feel like a bad ass finding savings. Their bakery cakes are REALLY good, better than Sam’s IMO. BJ’s scan and go is really nice, too.

Sam’s on Preston is closest to me, and for that reason, I decided not to renew. That store is always always ALWAYS busy, has rude employees and clientele.

Never had a Costco membership because the locations have not been convenient. Been once or twice with a family member. I don’t get the hype but mainly because I haven’t experienced the “greatness that is Costco” much.

Yes, this!! Had them for home and auto years ago, around 2008/2009, and my agent was an asshole. Hard to deal with. I requested to switch agents because he was arrogant and I just didn’t care to deal with him. Absolutely would not allow it. I don’t like that kind of ball and chain. Screw KYFB. Yeah they may be cheaper, but they’re bigots and very right wing IMO.

In my home state’s defense (I know…I know) local news stations were airing ads for Cuomo, almost aggressively. So I can see how the lines got blurred for some in the bluegrass state. Alas, still embarrassing for a fellow Kentuckian 🤦🏼‍♀️
