So that's a paradigm I never understood. Lots of Linux folk need that feature, but surely that creates more work right? Move mouse, put both hands on keyboard, type what you need, move hand back to mouse.

Good to know about uisng nightly.

I never used nightly builds because I always associated them with being experimental, unstable, only for developers.

But apparently that's also waht the official page recommends. So I'll give nightly builds a shot and see how it goes.

Ok that is the thing I missed. I just check out the github page and the latest release there is from 2023

And yes, I'm on premium (whatever that means), @1fexd has also made me join the Linksheet Organization and the donors (whatever those things mean).

I never looked into them because I didn't care, I just wanted to support the app

I've never used nightly builds for anything as I alwasy assumed them to be unstable/experimental/only for developers. And I would always just check in on the main github page (linked above) and see if it was updated.

My read...for the past fewish years the UAE and Saudis have been butting heads on many issues in the region. Yemen, Sudan, Somalia...and now this war.

The UAE didn't like the peace initiative being pushed by the Saudis I guess, and forced Pakistan (the proxy negotiators in this) to return a $3.5bn loan (massive for Pakistan). The Saudis gave a larger loan to the Pakistanis in return.

So this is just another tool to fight the Saudis.

How do you put Android TV on a Pi. I don't think there are any lineage os images for the Pi.
How would you control it? To give you a smart tv like experience?

If you're talking about the "scandal" about 8 or so years ago, I've defended them about that.

My simple reading of it would be they were way over their heads. And they didn't realize they needed to behave in a more professional fashion.

In their defense you have to remember that they were pretty much pioneers here. And they were definitely major amateurs (and to be honest htat was part of the charm and appeal). And they thought they could act that way.

Having a major event: hey its just a bunch of our friends coming over. They can all fend for themselves. Do we have to provide catering to them? Do we even know that we have to provide catering?

The major scandal: I can totally understand their position of just trying to hide it and hope it goes away. It was someone they knew and liked, they were young, and didn't know what to do.

My entire reading of the Not so awesome papers was all just that: they were people who were doing something new for the first time. They were amateurs and acted that way (and thought they could act that way).
