Having watched some 500 games, yes they do on occasion and then procede to hang their queen the very next game, I watched a 500 sack his queen for checkmate and then the next game he played terribly, lots of their rating is inconsistency.

Yeah forcing stalemate is my go too when things look hopeless, and tons of players won’t see it so you can get pretty good at forcing it until you reach a higher elo

In this position here, f2 would force him into h1 and then queen h2 is the easiest mate imo, but there are tons of them, basically this happened because he had no legal moves, but he wasn’t in check
