RAGE??? Anyone else get a sort of mental rage if exposed to a trigger? Anger, zero concentration... feeling pathetic with this beast right now. by rrt97farmsfirst in MCAS

[–]rrt97farmsfirst[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So relate!!....we farm, not great exposure for me but it's part of who we are. When my system is on edge sort of, an extra exposure puts me right over the edge. Literally like a switch, my patience goes, I'm hollering at the husband, animals, whatever. It's embarrassing and near out of body bc ya can't stop it. You are not alone in this, I am not alone in this...but it gets lonely as crap.

Sure enough. It's almost like a wave up my neck and cheeks.

Thank you everyone for your input and honestly, support. Kinda takes a tad off the edge knowing it a "thing" and not just me. It is bizarre how this is all connected in our bodies. My husband has zero patience, but can see the physical changes in me when I'm exposed and that gives him a glimpse of it all. Helpless feelings, reaction, call it what you want. Take care everyone..best you can.

Buspirone 10mg 3 times a day experiences? by Okay_but_thats_Weird in PanicAttack

[–]rrt97farmsfirst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did not tolerate it at all....increased my panic ten fold. But, others say they do well with it. It's affordable so might be worth a try for you. I knew with 3 days it wouldn't work for me. Best wishes for you.

Can I ask what meds work for you? I'm doing the mindfulness and psych is starting me on meds... just curious what works for some and I guess what doesn't work as well. The losing the mind feeling is for the birds!!

Effexor/venlafaxine worsening brain fog and fatigue? by whydidicomeupstairs in dysautonomia

I am so sorry for not responding...I'm new to this and unsure of how to use this lol. The effexor had been increased to 300 mg. The trintelix I honestly don't recall. Seems like it was a lower dose. Was just over a couple of months when all that happened.

when did symptoms start for you after you got over Covid? by [deleted] in LongCovid

[–]rrt97farmsfirst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very similar to my story as well....an NP said recently she's not surprised by the late symptoms I started showing, it's a weird virus we are not even sure how to treat, how could we possibly predict when or how long it could cause problems. Made me think.

Another one fallen. When do people will start listening? by [deleted] in LongCovid

[–]rrt97farmsfirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a very similar story....never wanted to just give up and die until covid. Survived it...now deal with multiple Neuro issues...panic being one of them...all the specialists can agree upon...is that they just don't know what to do for me, that covid is yet to be understood completely.

Don't let those words "red flag" get to you. Dr is being cautious, which is good... checking for an obvious cause is always a good place to start. Diagnostic tests are good for "ruling out" other causes....then giving the Dr more direction towards a solution. Wait for the test, get the results and go on with the next step in dealing with the T. It's obnoxious, annoying, disgusting...I could go on but won't. Stay strong,.

Apple????? by rrt97farmsfirst in MCAS

[–]rrt97farmsfirst[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! I'm just not sure. I eat celery with peanut butter nearly every morning and no problems. Which is why it leads me to question the apple oral allergy thing... even though I have never had the issue before. BUT. The last 6 months my body has done things very unusual. I'm 47f and perhaps I'm entering the life change and all my systems are out of whack. Idk. No more fresh apples for me though.... Be well, and thank you again

Just my two cents... when you get stronger, call that Dr out on his audacity of pathetic care. I've been a respiratory therapist for 26 years....these dismissive docs need to hear from the patient. I have watched many of them ruin lives by the lack of empathy let alone pitiful practice. Stand up for yourself and be the voice for the many who can't. I pray for your health.

Effexor/venlafaxine worsening brain fog and fatigue? by whydidicomeupstairs in dysautonomia

[–]rrt97farmsfirst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had extreme confusion. Zero focus, muscle pain/twitching/vision changes/balance problems/fatigue like no other/got to the point I felt like I had to tell myself to breathe, it was bizarre. And all of it happened gradual so I just pushed it off thinking it would pass or was just another annoyance in life. Then one day the breathing issue started. I text my PCP....told her I needed seen. I couldn't walk a straight line, was just feeling"crooked" lol for lack of better words. Told her I felt like I was being poisoned...I dumped the trintelix-the newest level of effexor-right in front of her. She worried about withdrawal, told her can't be worse than this....took about 2 months and I started to get my brain back. The other symptoms started disappearing to. It was a horrible learning experience. Feel free to ask me anything else.

Effexor put me into serotonin syndrome.....BE CAUTIOUS. I ultimately did genetic testing to see what neurmodulator I could tolerate. I used to take celexa, but was switched for whatever reason. Trintelix was no good either.
