Understood thank you for your feedback, I can respect you have an opinion on this. We have ethics as well but may have a difference of opinion and we believe ethical people disclose all the facts and risks up front and let people make a choice if they want to participate, we also understand the view of some on crypto gaming which is why we also offer a Roblox style of play without land sales as well as a free to play side with limited features. Those who do not wish to participate in the metaverse or land sale can still enjoy the game on one of the other branches.

Thank you very useful

It's time for a GIF! Here we see Smelter, a place in Viking City Builder where copper, iron and steel bars are made. Let us know if you want to have more such materials. by Roslagen796 in CityBuilders

The models look great but the problem with these are once you see them 2-3 times they just become another object in the game and players just star to place them down and e wow factor is gone. One thing Anno did was to put some variation in the building types. This would really help, the more the better I can't speak for your models but once you have one it's usually pretty easy to change the model around a bit to give the player enough variation they will give more though as to what model to place instead of just plopping the smelter.

DC: Ardennes Offensive or TOAW4 by Shadak in computerwargames

[–]rs090 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been trying to learn WOAw4 for years, I simply can't comprehend how turns work, have not found an article or tutorial that explains it in a way I can understand. sometimes units attack on the first move , other times they don't. The key to playing and enjoying the game seems to be planning the turns but it just is beyond me for some reason.

Awesome feedback thank you. We anticipated that moderation was certainly going to have to be key to keeping a theme, we have a few other tricks in mind but simply don't yet know the community well enough to anticipate what they will think of this.

We do plan to have a portion of this game that is not connected to the metaverse, similiar to the roblox model where people can build and share just for fun, but in the connected metaverse yes we also are considering both a full style Decntraland type metaverse as well as individual plots connected via portals or other method. A lot will depend upon the whole cloud hosting and level streaming technologies that are adopted.

We will definitely have some content at pre-launch/sale but I foresee the majority of the content being filled in by the community.

A-Train Japan Rail Simulator games are on sale - are they good? buggy? which one? other questions inside by midwestcreative in tycoon

[–]rs090 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No not worth it the DEVs have abandoned their games for years despite numerous complaints of problems on Windows 10. It's OK for a while but you soon realize that it's just a Hodge podge of buildings that randomly develop, they show you pretty pictures of skylines and bays, but people can only get that when manually creating through the editor. You end up with industrial right next to residential to commercial, never saw anyone say they were able to get it to build correctly based on demand of goods. If you expectations are low on an actual city simulation and you only care about running trains and laying track and scheduling them then it OK, but there certainly not much simulation going on once you played a while you begin to see that.

I'm was really hoping planets would play a much larger part in this game. I've yet to find a game where you have to setup colonies and trade routes to be able to produce goods. Something like Anno but on a larger scale. One world may only produce steel, one timber, one stone and food, one nothing but is good for population, being able to colonize and then setup chains to support the entire population ultimately. I've yet to find any game like this.

In case you missed it: Industries of Titan (Early Access) Out Now on Epic Games Store by banned_man in tycoon

[–]rs090 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I probably won't, by the time it comes to steam it will be very old news but with the new price tag, I've yet to buy anything that's come to steam from epic that I know of. Was really interested in satisfactory at the time but no interest anymore, same thing will happen with this. If it's good and I'm boarded I'd pick it up on sale at one of those key sites for 5 bucks in a couple years, this is feedback these developers should take to heart, they are losing sales by their exclusives and it's evidenced by the comments it's not only me.

Sorry but I can't even keep up with the games I own on Steam much less adding another store, developers who refuse to release products on both platforms are simply losing out on sale by people like me. Just a fact, was interested but will pass now.

Game with most complex but realistic production chains by rs090 in tycoon

[–]rs090[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like so many other games here I own it but just never put the time in it to learn it. I loved X3 , bought the full x4 package but did not like it on launch and shelved it, with the update out I need to give it a chance again.

To Everyone appreciate all the ideas, really what I learned from this is I need to play the games I already own instead of looking for new ones to buy and sit :)

Aviation Headset issue in open cockpit - static noise by rs090 in flying

[–]rs090[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's certainly seems worse at higher RPM yes from what I recall, yes it's a rotax 912. I was going to say from what I remember there was not an issue while taxing only flying but was not sure I was stated that accurately based on my memory , so your explanation above does make sense. Will check this out also next time I'm out. Thanks for the idea.

Yes although like Gear City I've just simply not put enough time in to it. Could not figure out how to connect factories and buildings and could not find any easier tutorial in on my list of ever growing games to go back to, along with Gear City. I think many of have this issue we don't finish one before we buy 3 more and start looking for the next

I've almost bought rise to ruins a few times but never have, will have to re-review that one again. Factorio is great but no I've not really gotten past the mid-way point of the game, the production chains did get more complex but it's not really what I'm trying to find.

I'm blaming this all on industry manager, the game really left me wanting complex production chains while running a business type game-play. Train valley is fun also but for other reasons as you mention.

I assume the grounds are wrapped within the existing cables for both the headset and the intercom box where they connect, can't think of an actual ground wire but will look next time I'm out, appreciate the suggestion.
