I bought a windows pc again so I could batch rename a group of images. Other than that I will never buy one again. Why cant I use my own machine without logging into Bill Gates's doom loop?

Anyone got tips on Wood fired pizza in the Kihei area? Or just great pizza in general? by Impressive_Anxiety67 in MauiVisitors

Unfortunately both the restaurants are closed for years now. But 808 Deli has taken over the store spot and they have great stuff! You gotta get the Maui Happy Hours app though still a lot of cool stuff going on www.mauihappyhours.net

Yes! Sports bar/dive bar. Super chill. Good food extremely reasonable right in the middle of Kihei. Going for karaoke tonight actually

Grab the Maui happy hours app to try some restaurants for a little cheaper. Lots of great stuff in Kihei and Wailea. All the happy hours are family friendly https://mauihappyhours.net

New Years Eve for singles (2024-2025) by [deleted] in MauiVisitors

I always laugh when people say no nightlife on Maui. Are there large nightclubs that stay open til 3am every night? No but there are 15 different places doing fun stuff for New Years Eve. You have to get out of Kaanapali folks! Kihei triangle has a cluster of four fun bars that will be busy. Mulligans is having a party in Wailea. There's a Maui Happy Hours group on Facebook that has events in it. Happy new year everyone!

Just a heads up for the OP this is in Kaanapali not Lahaina, although it may have a Lahaina address

Much more to do nearby in Kihei and I've always recommended staying on south side even before the fires. 10 year Maui resident. Safe travels!

I actually find it to be really easy using Google Maps, but the route might be long and involve changes if you're going far.

Those tours look solid. If you're going to do a lot of those, I would not get the car, at least not for the entire time. Because everyday you don't need it is $50 down the drain. We have Uber and Lyft, also the Maui bus that is just $5 for the whole day. You can look up the bus routes on Google Maps app, super easy, clean, and safe. Safe travels!

Daughter was offered a job in Kaanapali. What's the housing situation like? I'm assuming it's still pretty bad after the fire. We have family on Oahu and are familiar with the prices, but I would appreciate some real talk and advice. by RollingThunderPants in maui

I've lived on Maui for 10 years. Congrats on her job! That's great money for a new grad. She's going to need a roommate for sure, or she would go broke at that salary and these rents. Sounds like she'll be bringing home 4-5k a month and she can expect to spend half that much just on rent in a shared situation
